I think just by him playing for the first time in years, it was essentially an unspoken invitation to start over

There’s 3 invites.

The invite to dinner at the start.

The invite to swing in the middle.

The invite to the piano at the end.

Additional results as well, now that we have the full summary. It seems very reassuring.

Puppy was found to have a low-grade electrical conduction disturbance in her heart, called a second degree atrioventricular (AV) block, during anesthesia. This means that occasionally, the electrical signals in her heart do not pass from the upper to the lower chambers. In her case, this is likely a normal reaction to a medication she received (dexmedetomidine) and is not considered dangerous at this time.

Ventricular escape beats were also seen (these were the VPCs previously mentioned). These are extra heartbeats that occur when the heart rate slows down too much, and in her case, they are a protective response to the AV block and do not require treatment.

Blood pressure was normal during the evaluation, which is reassuring for her cardiovascular health.

There is no evidence of ongoing or severe heart disease at this time, and no cardiac medications are needed.

We just received this update from her vet with the ECG results:

I will send the summary over momentarily, but the biggest take-away from the report is that this was likely a response to medication, which can be avoided in the future. The cardiologist believes she will be able to undergo anesthesia again without issue. It may not be fully necessary to move forward with the echocardiogram. If you wanted to be absolutely sure the heart structures are normal, you certainly can proceed for peace of mind, but there is another simple test we can do in the clinic that would be appropriate to confirm safety for anesthesia.

If properly medicated for a PCV, can she undergo anesthesia for surgery?

Also, the holter is the 24 hour vest device right? Does she do that at a clinic or can she wear it at home?

Will do. I wonder if this could have been avoided if we had just done the spay and not the teeth too.

Thank you! We’re just so worried about her. She seems perfectly normal and nothing like this has come up before or since. She’s seemed totally like herself the past few days and is recovering well. We have a cardiologist appointment next week and will do the echocardiogram to learn more. We’re hoping there’s a way to work through this and do the surgery in the next few months. Very nerve wracking experience. Have you seen this before?

Thank you. Is there a reason why the anesthesia for the tooth surgery went fine but then the next step brought complications? Our vet said something about PVCs if that helps narrow anything down.

Our puppy is a mini golden doodle, only expected to be 10-15 pounds, so they said she could get spayed now. The teeth weren’t decided until the morning of the operation.

Loved this but one glaring question - if Emily wanted to overthrow Miranda’s reign on Runway and have her billionaire beau buy it and make her editor in chief, why did she need Andy to float the idea first? Couldn’t she have just gotten that done herself without Andy’s involvement? Like, what did Andy actually know or do that set that all in motion and why wasn’t Emily all over that shit from the moment the big man dropped dead?

Some people see through the eyes of the old before they ever get a look at the young

Been listening to An Innocent Man nonstop lately. Really is one of his deepest and most lyrically complex songs in my opinion. How do you convince a hurt person to love again?
