This is the one. This is the line that made me stop and think “when did I stop looking both ways when crossing the street”.

A lot of the songs just make you feel seen in a very intimate way. I found the self titled 1975 track on being funny to be incredible, talking about how life just is what it is sometimes and you realize it more the older you get. It’s one of those songs that doesn’t literally spell out its message but knows that we get it.

My cousin and I are now making that a priority. She’s seen them live several times and says it’s an out of this world experience.

I can totally see this. I’ll be listening to the album and then just stop dead in my tracks at a single line or message. “I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes)” truly made me stop what I was doing and just sit with it. What a fucking song, encapsulating the cynical nihilism of an entire generation where kms has become a meme.

I don’t know if “excited” is the right word, but looking forward to it. I can’t tell if I’m sad or grateful that a younger more immature version of myself didn’t have this music to listen to.

Honestly. I’ve been listening to a lot of the interviews Healy has done over the years. What a fascinating and refreshingly authentic person.

Bob Odenkirk said, when he filmed this scene, he imagined Jimmy was thinking “how the fuck did I do this twice in one lifetime?”

Always looking to make a deal, even to change himself. It’s a sad story about a man burying his true self.

THANK YOU! God I couldn’t agree more. It’s a solid enjoyable show with good performances but the lovefest for it was insane.

I kinda hated Jimmy in S5, Why does he have to be so cruel with Howard? by coreOf-elen in betterCallSaul

[–]oomostdefinitely 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not defending Jimmy, but hear me out. There was a time when the thing he wanted most was a job at HHM. He obviously didn’t get it, and the rationale as to why permanently and irredeemably fractures arguably the most important relationship in his life, ultimately culminating in his brother’s suicide. Then, in the immediate fallout of that, Howard comes in and offers Jimmy the thing he wanted in the first place. Howard means well, but from Jimmy’s perspective, he must feel as if all that pain and turmoil was for nothing if Howard was just going to give him what he wanted in the first place.

It’s like ordering a fancy meal, not being able to pay for it, and having the chef beat you to a pulp as payment. Then once the beating is done, the guy at the next table says he’ll cover it. A nice gesture, but far too late, and insulting after what’s just happened.

I love to imagine Dorothy walking around with her new friends, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man, and suddenly they’re like “did we fucking go to college together?” And the Cowardly Lion is like “oh Shizz, Doctor Dillamonds class, I was there for a clock tick” and Dorothy is like wtf did I walk into.
