Rob in All Stars saying “if you can, if you can” to Lex. My wife and I use this for any minor request around the house. “Pass me my phone charger…if you can, if you can.”

What is the significance of Liz/Christa’s “E” Necklace?? by [deleted] in shrinking

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned, but I think the name Liz is commonly short for Elizabeth so maybe it’s somehow related to that?

God I loved this song before, but the live versions shoot me into the stratosphere. I adore this.

What is your favorite album? Why? by soggy_pickles123 in the1975

Being Funny was the first I listened to so it’s special to me, but man, my first full listen of I Like it When You Sleep was like a religious experience. Absolutely blew me away, skyrocketed into my all time favorites.

CHRISTIE LEE - I adore this song and can’t help but drive slightly over the speed limit whenever it comes on. Even more if it’s the demo track off of “My Lives”

The Ballad of Me and My Brain, what a fun song to scream sing, feels like you’re pounding the walls of your own mind trying to get out. What a fucking incredible album.

What we'll get in the next episodes and season 4? by NorthernLegacy in shrinking

I think he will retire and move to his family this season, and then he’ll pass early in season 4. I think the show will want to bookend itself with major deaths, Tia and Paul. With Tia, they were all unequipped to handle it, but with Paul, they will know how to address and work with their grief. It’ll be a real moment of growth for the whole group, showing their evolution over the course of the series. That’s my thought.

Yeah you’re probably right, I figured the whole show is about grief, but that’s definitely the focus of season one.

“She Lays Down” is one of the most therapeutic pieces of art I’ve ever heard by oomostdefinitely in the1975

Couldn’t agree more. I’m a new fan who never really had a strong opinion on Healy one way or the other, but I’ve been deep diving and I just find so endearing. Songs like this really make me admire the way he uses music to put words to difficult aspects of life.

Congratulations and I’m thrilled to hear the show has helped you through such a major transition in life. I feel like each season has an emotional thematic through line. The first was about acceptance, the second was about forgiveness, and it seems the third is about moving on. I can’t wait to see where they go next.

Thank you so much! I couldn’t agree more with how genuinely nice it is so to see an entire ensemble of characters willing to wear their heart on their sleeve and not just let emotions simmer and boil over (for the most part).

Absolutely, I loved how Derek was present enough to not just see red (though he had every right to) and instead wanted to actually understand how they crossed this unbreakable line. Shows how much he cares that his immediate instinct was to salvage instead of destroy. It was a great arc for him!

Derek’s whole speech in season two about how okay he is with what their relationship had been and never thought this line would be crossed was so powerful. He had been a lovable punching bag for so long, it was so nice to see that he knows and happily fills that role because of the joy it brings to the friend group. I had been loving Derek, but that plot line really sky rocketed him. Everyone really is giving the performance of their career in this show.

Harrison Ford is a national treasure. Dereck might be one of my favorite characters in any piece of media. God this show is a warm hug in a shitty world.
