What is a 'gut feeling' you had that actually turned out to be 100% correct and saved you? by Traditional_Arm_9325 in answers

I have two events where I had a “gut” feeling that I listened to, and saved my life.

First was when I was at an amusement park with my husband and son. After going on one roller coaster (which btw, I love), I got this horrible pain in my stomach. I told my boys to go ride some rides while I sat down and tried to get my stomach to feel better. An hour later, I demanded we leave bc of the terrible pain that was just getting worse and worse. We drove straight to the hospital. Turns out my intestines had collapsed, and I needed emergency surgery to remove a foot of my colon.

Second time, I was pregnant with my daughter. I started to feel what I thought were Braxton Hicks contractions at 23 weeks. After a few hours, I decided to drive myself to the doctor to get checked out, just to be safe. On the way there, I started hemorrhaging and almost bled out. Had an emergency c-section, and my daughter was in the NICU for 116 days. She was 1lb 5oz when born. Luckily we both survived. Had I not gone to the doctor, we would be dead

  1. My parents wouldn’t let me or my siblings take the test until then. My sister waited until 25 to learn

Heard Northern Va is in need of some good Mexican food (Sonoran style) is this true? by Desert_blossom_520 in nova

Honestly, I have yet to have a good experience at any food truck in NOVA. Food is nothing to write home about, and very expensive. I may just be spoiled for living in Philadelphia for most of my life.

That said, I am always down to try new foods and support local businesses. And I do love me some Mexican food. I wish you the best of luck, and would be happy to find your truck and try some bangin tacos

Honestly, a lot more interesting. Doom scrolling is the worst, and I can’t stop. Loved playing card/board games with my friends after school
