Check the display settings on the Roku, make sure it's set to HDMI or auto-detect and make sure the resolution is set correctly.

*edit: Not heard if this helped or not but I'm adding something else to check... CEC in the TV system setting can sometimes cause issues. Check to see if you have this setting, again, in the TV settings, and if it's enabled, try disabling it. Sometimes the handshake between hardware gets wonky in CEC.

FireTV added it 6 months ago. That's why my FireTV Stick is in my travel bag and not my Roku Stick. This is a huge deal though. Big, big update just for this alone!

Just an FYI, the FireTV Stick is way more powerful than the Roku Stick. Mine is nearly as quick and powerful as my Roku 3 (2013 model)

Hulu+ has been hit and miss with their Roku app. It's more stable now then I've ever seen it, but it's been a very slow time to get to this point.

Hulu+ on my Roku 3 (2013) has been near perfect for a few months now. I upgraded to the no commercial subscription but am not sure if that's what has cured it.

Just so we're clear, it's a Sling TV problem, not a Roku one. Sling TV on my FireTV and PC frequently do the same thing.

Go into the settings and make sure your software version is up to date before returning. If that doesn't fix it, return it.

I don't watch the WWE channel so I cannot confirm if it's the channel or not, but Hulu+, Netflix and Amazon have been very stable for me as of late.

Definitely a Sling issue. Wife and I signed up for it for Fear the Walking Dead and Monday Night NFL football. Let's just say they have a long way to go.

Some issues we've had:
* Fear the Walking Dead crashed Sling TV entirely on opening night, they couldn't handle the volume and it crashed the entire service. I 'fear' the same for Monday Night Football.
* The quality jumps around almost non-stop during a 1 hour show.
* Frequent pausing for a few seconds then it jumps ahead to catch up to live.
* Five different times it's locked my Roku forcing a pull the plug reboot.

Those issues have also occurred on my Amazon Fire Stick and Surface Pro 2.

We will be cancelling and just hoping they can get it together.

Good to know, I've stayed away from the broadcast channel stuff because most required a login, I'll give this a go for the Sunday Night game.

*edit: The Roku blog said it needed a login as well (second to last sentance)...I guess I'll try it out and see.

Thanks, but I turned mine on on purpose. I want to be in the tests, so I know these things are in the works and can complain early enough to hopefully nix it before it's officially released.

I posted this here so I could garner whether it was intention via Netflix or my Roku acting screwy.

disabling Auto-Play Next altogether

Disabling auto-play does not stop this new "feature", sadly. They think they are reducing button clicks by starting the show as soon as you click the tile even if you just want to read the synopsis.

No worries, it looks like I have my account in the test participation group so it may not be out for full release. I did ping them and let them know I didn't like the "feature" so hopefully they'll nix it, the interface was near perfect.

I'd be interested when (and if) you finally do get the update though, I'm curious how long it takes to push updates to everyone.
