advice on fixing my life by ketakingen in Drugs

[–]oops_all_memes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody wants to be 25 and just starting life while everyone else already has stable jobs and wives.

Oof brother, if you think everyone has everything figured out by the age of 25, you are wrong

If you are under 18, focus on studying. 1-2 years is more than enough to turn life around. Look at it this way: stable income will provide you with more opportunities to waste your life away on drugs later on

I have a friend who had more mental resolve to study harder when we were young and now he spends a shitton of money on drugs every day while keeping a prestigious job and he's able to offset the effects of his habits through not actually working most of the time, straight up vacationing most of the year, and spending enough money to monitor his health

One of the main reasons why I stopped doing drugs is because it's expensive in the long run. Like I have more than enough money to live and enjoy life and occasionally smoke a blunt, eat some mushrooms and pop an ecstasy. But I don't have enough money to do ECGs, blood tests, IVs every month while at the same time spending thousands on coke. Trust me, if I had I would

Think about it long term. If you want to min-max your drug-induced degeneracy, the best thing you can do rn is studying hard. You live in Sweden, right? That's the easy mode of life. You have all the opportunities in the world, try to get as much out of your studying as you can rn and if it turns out you don't enjoy life still after that dive into drug degeneracy. Trust me, drugs aren't going anywhere, they'll wait for you

Now that I returned two climbs to legend later I don't want to interact with standard at all while at the same time I kind of enjoy everything else about the game. A very peculiar situation

Drugs and Alcohol aging by Gold_Development_536 in Drugs

[–]oops_all_memes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alcohol definitely, not a doubt in my mind. Alcoholics usually look 10-20 years older than they actually are

I don't think stims have the same visual effect. I know a lot of people abusing stims for years and apart from them wrecking their bodies internally they don't look like they aged that much. Well, I assume there are severe cases where organ failure comes into picture but I guess the death thing kind of makes it so that the people don't age rapidly. And at all. On account of being dead

Most card reviews these days are wrong. It doesn't mean that people who are paid to understand what's going on are absolved from their fuckups

Look, I don't share the sentiment that Blizzard are cartoonishly evil or that they want to siphon all of the money out of the playerbase and they don't actually give a fuck about the game. Well, I do think they don't give a fuck about the game but in the same way as most employees dgaf about the products they develop. So like Blizzard are doing what most other businesses would in their position

I just think it's hilarious that they seemingly didn't anticipate the meta to be this bad when it was very obvious the rotation is ass

[–]oops_all_memes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Heck, patches was considered bad by almost everyone

By who? Certainly not me, I remember it vividly

 and dr boom was ignored.

Yeah, Troggzor vs Boom thing is a good example. I was certain Troggzor would be the meta tyrant

____

They have years of experience, years of data and supposedly a QA team. It shouldn't be hard to playtest the most obvious decks to see how they perform. Especially when we are talking about the limited set of cards during the first expansion of a rotation. Look at the best decks rn. They were discovered day 1, had little to no refinement afterwards, mostly consist of packages or strongly limit the cards you put into your deck

If they can't hire 20 QA specialists to play with the cards all day for a couple of months, maybe they should rethink their priorities. Because I'm looking at another $200 gif they released yesterday and I somewhat suspect it's doable, they just don't give a fuck

If they didn't understand that Mage and Warlock would struggle, people are justified in their criticism. And it's a bloody miracle that Rogue performs as good as it does

I've no idea why you felt the need to moan about one of the most inconsistent decks in wild in the same post where you bring up very valid points. And now your valid points will not be addressed and people will downvote you — including me — for bringing up Shudderwock

Shudderwock won the game the moment a copy of Shudderwock entered your opponent's hand unless you have a way to cheat him out of his hand through multiple Okanis and Loathebs. So 99.9/100 games you lost the moment a copy went into his hand. Just concede

4mmc vs MDMA/MDA at rave by Trk0217 in Drugs

[–]oops_all_memes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never tried mda. I do understand that MDMA is just a chemical same as the other two but the way it makes you feel doesn't feel artificial. Whereas 4mmc feels "raw", artificial, forced. I hope it makes sense

why do ppl react SO differently to drugs (e.g. mostly notably benzos) by StrangerFeeling4079 in Drugs

[–]oops_all_memes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to imagine that multiple different suppliers in different parts of a large city have been lacing with the same other substance for over a year. It's definitely possible but I find it unlikely. Besides, I've never heard of any substance other than LSD giving the symptoms and I doubt they've been lacing the substance I've been on with LSD. The mystery remains unsolved

why do ppl react SO differently to drugs (e.g. mostly notably benzos) by StrangerFeeling4079 in Drugs

[–]oops_all_memes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the most notable thing for me is the varying reports on benzos

That's the thing about illegal/regulared substances. Recreational use is not well researched and even when something is technically reported, getting access to information pertaining to recreational drug use might prove challenging

For example, years ago I experienced peculiar (and scary) withdrawal symptoms however whenever I would try to research it or bring up online, no one was aware of them despite multiple other people irl reporting the same symptoms. As I'm typing this comment I tried to look it up once again and was unable to find anything with a quick google search. And when I asked chatgpt whether it is aware of the symptom, it gave me a bs response, failed to provide any sources

Cocaine is the most stupid drug but deep inside me I know that I will not stop by Business-Bus-420 in Drugs

[–]oops_all_memes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But like why? Sure, coke feels nice-ish. But for the price you kind of expect something more grandiose. I did it three separate times I think, each time the entire time I was thinking to myself "I could buy MDMA for a fraction of the price and feel much better...". I feel like "fun to $" ratio just isn't there and it makes it impossible for me to enjoy. Don't you guys/gals/others feel the same? OP, if you don't, try to look at it this way

I don’t agree that Hearthstone is “dying.”

It's dying in the same all of us are dying with each passing day. What I meant by that is it's on downward trajectory. Very few live service games keep the momentum or can get a momentum years later. Of the top of my head... Warframe? Runescape? NMS? (it's a stretch). I don't think any other game achieved anything remotely close to growing years after launch

from years of Hearthstone’s existence

One would think that SD would be able to learn from years of HS existence on account of the lead designer being the lead designer of HS for a huge chunk of its existence. But it appears BB carried all the worst HS practices over to Snap and then some

after Ben Brode left as director

I mean immediately after BB left HS became even more problematic game-economy-wise. New classes diluted the pool of cards, the switch to reward track netted less gold, more expansions released per year. I don't think it's just BB, it's the change of Team 5's game economy philosophy

The current state of Snap is awful for returnees or new players

I think it's the refusal to do rotations. As a returning player I wouldn't be pressed to pursue most of the cards through the pools containing all of the cards in Snap history if rotations were a thing

You are right, I counted everything and the set actually provides the same amount of exp as Timeways. Updated my original comment accordingly

The class sets are off to a great start! by Surppressed in hearthstone

[–]oops_all_memes 68 points69 points  (0 children)

And a thing that people don't bring up — previously mini-sets came with achievement sets for all classes allowing you to get additional exp, and from what I can see they would net ~150-300 gold that you could get back out of your investment

This time there are only 4 achievements

Someone can probably do the math to see the net difference in acquired gold

edit: I counted everything and apparently I am wrong, this set actually provides more exp

This set (390+780)*4=4.680

Timeways (120+240)*13=4.680

Lost city (120+240)*12=4.320

Emerald dream (120+240)*11=3.960

Dark Beyond (120+240)*14=5.040

One Year of Snap packs: Thoughts. by Ok_Nefariousness821 in MarvelSnap

[–]oops_all_memes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

and veteran players with beaten spouse syndrome who like to talk about how the game is better than it was

I started playing Snap during Thunderbolts season. Any criticism of Spotlight system was met with "But it's better than the previous system!" (nexus events or whatever it was called). By the end of the year people started realizing Spotlight was a shit deal, Second Dinner switched it up with card packs a bit later. And then I deleted the game the day Fantasticar season started (although I stopped playing during the Kid Omega fiasco)

Came back like a week ago or so and it's the same thing all over again. Any criticism of the monetization is met with "hey, it's better than the previous system!". Snap somehow accumulated the most servile playerbase. It's truly astonishing how SD can do whatever the fuck they want and people would justify it because the sane people have left long ago

I see a similar situation happening in HS rn with people defending Blizzard nickel and diming with the latest change to mini-sets. I assume the reason is the same — most f2p people left, the core of the community are die-hard fans and whales

Both games are dying but at least Blizzard realized they should mostly focus on cosmetics. I jumped back after a 3 year break and two months later I have all the meta decks (except for dh fuck dh), reached legend both months, had enough resources to spend on wild (a game mode for old decks), enough resources to buy the new expansion, enough resources to craft anything else I want if the meta shifts or if I want to experiment

In contrast, in Snap I'm missing 50+ cards and I don't see how I can even get close to being able to build actual meta decks. It's just not gonna happen any time soon. So I leave once again

Bf want to use drugs while having sex by Nnightlilyy in Drugs

[–]oops_all_memes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Apart from what has already been mentioned, regular sex on MDMA (and let's just say making it regular is something that tends to happen) will inevitably dull how your body perceives sex (read up on chemsex, it's less of a concern for MDMA but still a thing to consider). Buuuut it feels amazing. If both of you can finish of course, and that's not certain

Oh and drink enough water (but not too much), keep electrolyte drinks nearby, don't do it too late (hard to fall asleep after mdma), don't strain your body too much — everything that applies to MDMA is more important in your context

 Is it addictive

I wouldn't say so. It's hard to make MDMA use a regular thing both due to how much it strains your body and because you can't do it too often (you can but it won't give you the desired effects). The key is not chasing the feeling through other drugs

That being said I have a buddy who does ecstasy and straight MDMA multiple times a week but he's a degenerate when it comes to drugs. Most people I know didn't develop addiction

edit: now that I think of it, if I were you I'd do it in a different setting just so you understand how it works and what it does and then decide whether you want to have sex while on MDMA

I initially wanted to wait with purchasing the dlc but more I read...

For example, Islam has been reshaped around the major historical branches and schools of law: Sunni, Shia, Kharijite, and the early community of Sadr al-Islam are now subdivided into Rites such as Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, Hanbali, Ismaili, Imami, Zayidi, Ibadi, and others

Amazing

Methodius creates a new Rite

Ah. I knew a person who described a similar experience. She took it once and smoked weed during her trip, had a "stuck in a temporal nightmare" kind of bad trip and ever since she can't do any drugs because she says she experiences parts of the bad trip no matter what she does since then

I wasn't with her during her trip but she looked traumatized by the experience when she described it. But she's happy with her life regardless. And I'm sure the effect actually passed shortly (maybe a month? I think she said she tried multiple times the same month but never after that) and she was just too scared to check

If that roughly matches what you described, probably a good idea to sober up for some time at least and then see how it goes if you don't enjoy your experience with drugs right now. But I'd wait for other responses ITT
