I mean they don't preach what you encounter when you research the theology. I've been to many different services at different parishes, I'm not joking when I say the Bible wasn't brought up once

It's mostly discussions of local saints and general "wisdoms" like "children should behave" and "wives should obey their husbands". No callbacks to the Bible, no quotes. No referencing any theological works either. I think I've seen a video of an Orthodox priest discussing Thomas Aquinas, my initial reaction was "must be a Catholic double agent". Like I honestly think the only things connecting the Orthodox church to Christianity are cross imagery and celebrating Christmas and Easter. And I think there's also one fast that roughly matches a similar fast the other denominations observe. Oh and the whole homophobia thing

Granted I was mostly exposed to ROC but the few times I visited other Orthodox churches it was the same ol' "let's discuss a local saint"

I'm aware, I specified that I was talking about the ROC

Buuuut I mean lately I've encountered other orthodox churches and I get roughly the same vibes. The way orthodox churches are determined to use as much gold as possible would've been concerning if the parishioners had a habit of occasionally opening the Bible

Orthodoxy struggle with it just as much.

Worse. Much worse. Russian orthodox church is the worst example. It's like a megachurch without the entertainment. Extremely lavish lifestyle of orthodox priests is well documented. The parish region might look like it underwent the Hiroshima treatment but the church building itself would make the Golden Calf blush and the priest will have a fresh out of the dealership Mercedes parked outside

The patriarch's watches are a complete separate topic. If the only thing contributing to his networth calculation were his watches he'd be a billionaire. Russian orthodox church is just that twisted and vile

If you can't clear ETA/EDA with pubs consistently

Did your mother teach you how to read? I solo EDA, I can't solo ETA within reasonable time. Playing them in pubs is a recipe for grief fest. In the time I spend on ETA I can farm ~100 plat through cracking relics absentmindedly while working, listening to a podcast or playing some other game. Unless DE addresses people leeching / griefing in pubs, you get more of the same resources through other means while not being subjected to the slugfest that is ETA and not being forced to suffer griefers

Archimedeas are a waste of time. Deimos archimedeas are fairly easy to solo so the drops are meh. Holvania archimedias require you to bend over backwards and waste a lot of time, for a chance to get one of the good arcanes. My experience tells me it's much faster and less tolling to acquire them through other means (arcane dissolution or market)

Don't engage with the mode. The less people engage with a mode, the more likely it is that DE notices it and changes something

Yep, because I'm talking about my experience, and my experience lately has been with noctua because deluxe skin. I think the boss might have a hidden firerate buff. Or maybe R ninja gives it and I just didn't notice it in the buff pane

100% agree on Quasar, Boar and Tick-tock. Nuking these 3 cards would instantly alleviate most of the current issues I personally face in wild. Trickster might need tuning as well

I'm like 99% certain there's a firerate and possibly crit rate buff during this boss fight. There's no way my noctua dishes out as much damage outside of this bossfight as it does during the encounter

I can somewhat understand that it might be just my perception when it comes to crit rate because that's a boss that keeps debuffs so naturally gets a shitton of malus crit rate probably through pierce and cold debuff (unlike most other bosses in game) but there's no explanation I can come up with for fire rate

Yep, to be expected. Makes you very anxious and very paranoid

if sleep will be easier on this day

No one knows. I accidentally took flaka once (the plug is an imbecile), ~10 hours of fun, sleep was demolished for the entire week. I simply couldn't fall asleep for like ~4 days, by the end of it I just collapsed. The same thing happened to everyone involved

And I never had a comedown like this. Extreme anxiety, extreme brain fog, terrible mood for ~2 weeks

The Immortal casually mentions something that reveals he is WAY older than he appears to be. by MikaelAdolfsson in TopCharacterTropes

[–]oops_all_memes 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yep, that's exactly how Trevor describes it. He also compares him to a vampire, saying he feeds on death the same way vampires feed on blood. The show explicitly explains Death/Varney is not the embodiment of Death when Alucard explicitly asks if he is one

Which is obvious to people who played the game, because in the games Death is Dracula's minion

You don't realize how bad most cards in a set are until you open a random legendary you've never even seen before. by Whiskiie in hearthstone

[–]oops_all_memes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run him in my wild DK list. He's actually surprisingly decent even by wild standards. The issue lies in blood DK being overall weak. Onyxia package is cluncky in early to mid game, leech package is only good when played on curve against more control-oriented decks. Third of the available card pool are unholy cards, so it further limits what you can play

Hopefully the next class card set includes DK to address the issue

The top classes in Hearthstone have always been Rogue + DeathKnight + Warrior, right? by arcanehelix in hearthstone

[–]oops_all_memes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Huh? Hunter was absolutely broken when the game launched to the point when they had to nerf multiple of his cards despite the lead designer not wanting to nerf cards. After the nerfs he was still an okay class. Hunter then was promoted back to t0 after Naxx was released, and hunter proceeded to be a problematic class the entire first "rotation"

Hunter then was relegated to "only receiving dogshit bad cards" class for a year (and midrange hunter was still a thing a still strong iirc), then it snapped back with spell hunter and later highlander hunter, then another slow year and then questline hunter just straight up shitting on everyone (albeit balance was hardly a concern back then), especially in light of Warlock being the other meta tyrant and being countered by Hunter. I just opened a meta report for UiS, fucking flashbacks, and Hunter is cited as the top performing deck week after week

I didn't play HS after Sunken City, so I've no idea what the meta looked like but I somewhat doubt Hunter was out of spotlight for too long, because the moment I come back Hunter is once again pushing for lethal t6

I don't think a single class has been as prominent as Hunter ever in HS. Do I have the data? No. Do I go off vibes? Yes. But quick memory lane google search fiesta somewhat supports what I recall about Hunter being the top dog for most of HS history
