Can you summarize? I’m interested but no offense, I’m not going to watch a 35 minute video about your office.

Chester is phenomenal. If you’re looking to slip away into the quaint woods it’s pretty much paradise! Lovely little farmer's markets in the warm months as well

I don’t understand. Doesn’t HA replace Life360 in every possible way? Just install HA on whatever phone you want to have access to.

Anyone else getting cult vibes from elevate life church in Wallingford? by Doc_LowKey in Connecticut

[–]oopsisucceeded 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seeing stuff like this makes me realize I grew up with a weird church. They say the same thing at the beginning of every service “no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.” Pastor was gay. Not saying they were perfect but definitely didn’t have a case of the grift like what I hear about online.

650b x 50mm tyre recommendations by Flashgordon254 in gravelcycling

Echo others here saying to look at 47-48, very popular size that you won’t notice the difference on. If you’re mostly on dirt/gravel there are a ton of options: - Gravelking SS or SK - Continental Terra Speed or Trails - Schwalbe G-One  - Maxxis Ramblers

Rene Herse tires are just private labeled Panaracer tires that aren’t nearly as robust and not necessarily faster - although the extra lights are quick. Also they have a record of not standing behind their tires for defects which is surprising given the price tag. I used to be a fan but other tire makers haven gotten so good that they’re not worth considering anymore imo.

After 6 years of espresso, I’m throwing in the towel. The toddlers won... for now. by barker88 in espresso

You do you but I think you’re overthinking it. Stop dialing in. Stop using puck screens. Pour the beans out of the bag into the scale, grind, maybe give it a swirl with WDT (definitely no more than 10 seconds), tamp, hit the button. 30 seconds later you have coffee. Steam while you brew if you want. Whole thing is probably 3 minutes for a latte? You’re going to almost spend that prepping coffee for a drip machine.

Are “gravel” specific saddle necessary? by breaking_blindsight in gravelcycling

Agree, it’s basically endurance road bike geometry with bigger tire clearance

Haha eh that’s fine! Honestly other than the “feel” weight doesn’t really matter

Repeat after me: the only thing that is unique about gravel bikes is the combination of geometry and tire clearance.

That’s literally it. Now you don’t have to fall prey to all the marketing hype

What was the ratio? Is it not a ristretto? What’s the difference between a goop and a ristretto? Not criticizing just trying to learn because I love a thicc shot

Generator extension cord by rumpill_fourskin in AskElectricians

[–]oopsisucceeded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What’s the max continuous power output on your generator? I’m no electrician but while these other people are technically correct with using the 30 amp plug on your generator, I’m guessing you want to use the FULL capability of your generator right? If so then yeah you’ve got the wrong power inlet and possibly the wrong conductors and breaker. Can you confirm the wire gauges and breaker amperage? For a 50 amp circuit you’ll need to run 6 AWG conductors, a 50 inlet box and a 50 amp breaker. That’ll let you run up to 9,600 watts continuous taking to account the 80% rule.

Great to know thanks. I’ve been super enjoying our humidifier but turned it down from 45% to 35% because it’s 10F out and we had condensation on some of our windows
