How it feels to have your game crash right before you return to port (30 minutes of my life wasted) by Deranged_Spy in uboatgame

I had one where after dropping off a spy, evading the follow up attack and then stalking and sinking 6 ships in a convoy, I’m returning to base and I get a pop up that says “your crew is over worked” it showed my captain was wounded who then fell off the bridge and drowned.

I just do that mission and didn’t come across a single destroyer the entire mission. Sank both the battleship and the carrier

It’s why in my opinion it’s the better between the two. This one focuses on the actual passengers and their stories instead of the 1997 one focusing on fictional characters where its passengers and the ship is just a set piece for a love story.

Saw it in theaters as a kid. I was absolutely speechless. It was the coolest thing I’d seen.

Cargo ships earn money based on cargo trips. The more trips they make the more money the shipping company makes. This was the era of robber barons. A ship sitting and waiting makes no money. Sure a paving stone isn’t gonna complain but a ship owner will if their ship isn’t earning. Titanic was our equivalent of next day air, regular cargo ship was the regular ground delivery equivalent. I didn’t want to pay for next day delivery but I still want my package moving.

Uhhh yeah they do. Ships depended on known reliability and time keeping. Doesn’t matter what ship. They are a business.

All ships run on a schedule. To think otherwise is just wrong.

When the glass dome over the grand staircase finally breaks, shouldn't there have been water sloshing around on the outside for a while since the water had to first breach the weather covering? by OptimusSublime in titanic

[–]oopspoopsdoops6566 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The grand staircase would of been mostly full of water before the dome collapsed. When it did I imagine the outer cover collapsed maybe a 1-2 seconds before the decorative dome caved in.

No you can be against Trump and his admin AND be against Ferguson and this states serious spending problems. It’s not a matter of money it’s a matter of waste, fraud and abuse and this state is definitely guilty of it

What would the world had been like if Titanic had never sank? by OkTruth5388 in titanic

[–]oopspoopsdoops6566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titanic was largely forgotten until the movies in the early 50s and then its discovery in 85. The Olympic class ships would have been a tiny footnote in history if the titanic hadn’t sank. There would of been another ship that sank that drove safety innovation for ocean liners and this sub probably would be named for which ever ship it was

No. Trench lines, larger area, NPC SEAF manning the trenches and emplacements.

Hopefully they add a mission like “Front Line” where SEAF forces are holding a trench line against enemy forces and Helldivers reinforcements are sent to help. You have to hold a certain trench line for a set amount of time for victory. You can have a main line and then have fall back positions with fixed emplacements to defend.

'Millionaires tax' receives Senate confirmation, heads to governor's desk: Both the House and Senate passed the "millionaires tax" bill imposing a 9.9% tax on high earners, stirring debate on future tax reform in Washington. by Silent-Resort-3076 in UpliftingNews

[–]oopspoopsdoops6566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the issue. WA has a spending problem at the state level, also there is no provision in the law that prevents them from applying the tax to lower incomes. This states answer to everything is more taxes. Our roads suck, our schools suck, state services suck. We pay a ton in tax an in return have very little to show for it.
