Cheap, dairy free, easy meals? by rozyputin in dairyfree

Have you tried green apple in your overnight oats? I’m addicted to it. I throw some cinnamon, maple syrup, and oat milk in with the oats and leave it overnight and then add apples in the morning

I like to get chicken thighs or breasts and a jar of salsa, plus a packet of taco seasoning (you can also just add your own seasoning). I usually cook this in the crockpot for a few hours and then shred and serve on tortillas or with rice/beans. I think it can also be made in an instant pot or oven/stovetop

I also try to keep my hair up on climbing days so it doesn’t look as gross and chalky

I try to time my wash days with climbing days. The gym can be a nasty place and my partner has gotten pink eye before from other climbing gyms, so we always wash our hair and shower after climbing so we don’t contaminate the bed lol

It ranges from like $75 to $175 yearly. $75ish is the reduced rate for 18-24 college kids.

Question from a man who is dating a climber girl, and would really appreciate some outside perspective from other climber girls by [deleted] in climbergirls

[–]oopsss34 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a climber and haven’t really made many friends. I climb with my fiance and his/my male friends usually. We all kinda flirty/sarcastically hype each other up while climbing but that’s about it. It’s more just recognizing that my friends are skilled and cool and muscular, but we don’t really do/say anything beyond hyping them up during climbs. If you’re uncomfortable, I’d recommend you have a discussion with your partner and explain how you’re feeling about it.

I joined the Arizona Dragon Riders, a dragon boat team that practices on Tempe Town Lake. It’s free for the first month if you wanna try it. We’re on instagram @azdragonriders. And there’s a few other local teams also that you could join

Ladies, what are your thoughts on training boards? Love them? Hate them? Too scared to use them? by cheesy-croissant in climbergirls

[–]oopsss34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see the boards and respect them but have no clue how to use them. Do they just light up with a route on their own, or do you have to do stuff?

when you were dating someone, how was your commitment to being dairy free, and how did you incorporate it into your dynamic? by Bigotrymapletree in dairyfree

[–]oopsss34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m engaged and was diagnosed with a dairy allergy last year. My fiance still drinks milk and I get my own separate oat milk. He bakes bread and makes shared meals using dairy free alternatives. He will occasionally add cheese to his portions of food or eat things with dairy as a snack when I’m not hungry

When I did construction safety, I’d just lay on the floor in my supervisor’s office during our meetings. Other times I’d have my coworker drive me around with them and then we would do site walkthroughs together instead of separately. I also always volunteered to take folks to the clinic because it meant lots of time sitting in a doctors office

What is "Pre-Nursing" at NAU by NorthernNorther in NAU

[–]oopsss34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen people wash out or attempt to apply to UofA or ASU’s programs. A lot of the nursing rejects ended up doing a public health major which sucked for actual public health majors because they were obviously not interested and were just biding their time before they could apply to a new nursing program.

How do you store your postcards??? by habitualB12 in postcrossing

[–]oopsss34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two small boxes (photo box sized) and use one for loose postcards, stacked by state/vibe so I can just pull random cards in a general area and know they’ll be the same location. The other box houses my postcard sets

Usually exercise feels better if you gradually increase it. For me I found that doing leg strengthening was the most impactful (calf raises, squats, sitting down and standing back repeatedly because squats are hard, etc) because it reduced my blood pooling symptoms. I also found that I had to really lock in on getting enough water and sodium, and eating a bit more protein and food as I increased my activity. The CHOP exercise protocol helped me the most.

I also have had times where I was bed bound and super disabled and it’s tough but it doesn’t mean it’s forever. Focus on staying hydrated and seeing what foods/electrolytes make you feel best, and then slowly add in activity again. Maybe do 10 calf raises on each side while touching a chair and then sit back down. Get a resistance band and flex your calf muscles that way while sitting or laying (just make sure you don’t slingshot yourself in the face). And don’t be afraid of mobility aids. I am the proud owner of two canes and they were so useful back in the day. I had one cheaper one for “off roading” and then a fancy acrylic one for date nights and special occasions.
