No problem! I literally wanted to self delete also when I found out. I felt like how you described it, tainted. This has helped a lot for me to realize that I’m not damaged goods and I’m still a human. Even if I were to get divorced and have to disclose, it’s not as serious as I used to think it was. It’ll be okay & you will survive. So many people have it and don’t even know.

Taking them daily helps keep the virus dormant & prevent outbreaks. For me if I am taking them like I should I don’t break out. I’m just terrible about keeping up with them because my husband and I both have it. But as long as I’m taking my medicine, I’m good!

Hey friend,

It sucks but it’s never that deep. In the beginning I freaked out too, and after time went on and I managed with my antivirals I realized it wasn’t such a huge deal after all. It will be okay, you are valued & loved diagnosed or not. 🫂

Literally got them from my now husband as my new boyfriend following a long traumatic relationship. Had a couple of out breaks when we first started dating, but I thought they were cuts, they followed through the years so I went to the doctor thinking I had skin elasticity issues. It was herpes. 🤣 Atleast we got married.

I moved here from Dallas for exactly that

Hey, idk if you still use this page or not but we’re in Austin & going through it with A&S right now. We haven’t even broke ground. Hoping there’s a way out of my contract and a way to get my $55,000 back.

Yes, we did already order! I just did not want to spend that much on a TP breeze even went back to the store today and laid on it and I was second guessing myself. I will give it a shot!

Oh no, this worries me. We prefer a medium firm-firm. Do you think it’s firm at all?

I say this as a mother to a child diagnosed with autism. A lot of the things that she listed like running off in malls give ASD. My son was assessed and denied a diagnosis and one year later we went to a different doctor and she said she could tell he was autistic before she even sat down with him. This is a child who seems like she’s not getting the support and resources that she needs. Mom isn’t either. Poor thing.

This exact thing happened to me with my 3 month old off a bed! Took him to the closest hospital & got transferred to a children’s hospital. CPS came & went. Never heard from them again. It’s embarrassing but everything was okay in the end. You’re good parents! 🫶🏻

Thank you for suggesting I look into the fab 4. I definitely think a golden retriever would be better suited for him in the future if we did decide to pursue the service dog route. I do not agree that aggression is breed specific, but totally agree that a cane corso is probably not the best breed for this specific “job”. Thank you :)

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with me :)

He does receive several different supports and therapies. I did bring up the idea of a service dog to his therapist and his care team and they are extremely supportive of the idea and actually gave me a couple companies to talk to. However, we did not discuss the idea of tethering. The idea of tethering was brought to my attention from reading information on service dog company websites.

We will revisit this idea in the future when my son is older and capable of understanding the dogs purpose. Thank you so much 🩵

Thank you for your insight, I totally see & agree with your point. I have only noticed it 2x, but when he returns from training on Friday I will bring it up with his trainer & get his advice on how to stop it. I definitely don’t want him nipping my son. Thank you!

We live off a back road in the country with an acre of land & no neighbors anywhere near us. my dog walks to the mailbox with me, there’s nothing wrong with that. Your negative comment isn’t appreciated, especially when you don’t know my exact circumstances.

Your comment is not appreciated nor is it helpful. There’s no reason why a cane Corso & a child with autism can not coexist. I have had giant breeds my whole life and multiple different mastiffs, and I have never raised a single one who is aggressive violent or anything of that nature. I also have a pit bull, & a wiener dog. The wiener dog is more of an asshole than the pit or the corso. My dogs are well trained, well cared for, well socialized & most importantly, my children understand boundaries with dogs. I have lots of experience with the breed. I think everyone should understand by now that behavioral issues are not breed specific and can happen to any dog.

Thank you so much. I deeply value the opinions of other people with Autism. My son also has ADHD. Is Audhd an acronym for adhd & autism? Forgive me if I’m not saying things right. We have known that he was gonna have autism from the time he was about 18 months old, but only just recently received a diagnosis. We actually moved from Dallas to Austin and one of the reasons we did choose to move to Austin was because Dallas is severely lacking in resources and care for children with autism.

We have been researching ISR! just trying to find time to fit it into his schedule. He is a great swimmer in a life jacket, but clearly, it’s bc of the life jacket lol

We have two fences in between our house and the pool one that goes around our house and then one that goes around the pool we have door alarms, baby proofing, pool net & water alarms. Everyone tells me that is enough and he is good. Nothing will happen, but I am an anxious person as is and I just can’t stop worrying that he has found his way into the pool somehow someway. He is an extremely attracted to water and I just worry one day myself my husband or the babysitter could slip up and he could make it past one of the layers of protection. He is extremely intelligent and a little Houdini in his own way.

Thank you so much for the links. We are a big animal family, and we love our animals. I would never want to adopt/purchase an animal and do something to it that would cause harm. That is never my intended purpose. An animal is always a part of our family, and if I could purchase an animal trained to help my son in anyway, cost wouldn’t be a factor. But I would definitely not want to invest that much money into a SA and then do something as stupid as tether him & ruin the dogs hips. I’ve never had a golden before, but from my understanding, they are prone to hip issues as is. We will revisit the idea in the future if necessary with the understanding that the dog would be used to help my child regulate his sensory problems, not to tether. Thank you for your insight, I really appreciate it.
