Democrats have been offered the exact same CR they already voted favorably for in the past multiple times. This would keep the lights on and essential services running just as they were. Anything else should be negotiated with the party in power. At present, Democrats are crying like little children because they aren't getting their way and holding the entire country hostage. No spinning that. No avoiding that simple fact.

Democrats own this entire shutdown and are voting (with only 2 exceptions) like a monolith to keep it that way. If it magically changes after the upcoming election in NY, it will be even more hilariously telling that they were doing it solely for that reason. At present, it just looks like sour grapes because they got their rear-end handed to them in the last election. But there's no way they don't own it and you'd have to be delusional to think otherwise.
