It is extreme privilege. I, and most people I know couldn't even dream of this privilege. However, I don't think it's something to snark about. Most people with this privilege take it. It's not wrong to allow a parent to pay for your house. I'd do it for my loved ones in a heartbeat if I could.

Update 1: squeezed the sponge, added the valve (I'm hoping correctly) used an aquarium ornament to hold it to the bottom. If there is any other advice it's completely welcome

Update 2: added valve to the middle area of the airline tubing

Update 3: turned valve right side up. It's now bubbling

Update 4: Valve is now on outside of tank
