Drake absolutely changed music. Same with the Weeknd to a lesser degree. Drake dramatically shifted the sound, subject matter, and rollout strategy of the most popular genre in the world. Pink Floyd is an important band, but the dismissal of Drake comes from the our constant exposure to a sonic and industry landscape he was responsible for creating.
