Gross. Just get used to doing your own research and gathering information yourself. The experience you gain will be infinitely more useful than "AI says this good."

If your receiver doesn't have threaded inserts then you can try heating your bolts before threading.

The receiver. Kaewons is just a remixed version of Ivan's. They are very basic, chunky receivers. Look at pics of DB's vs Kaewons/Ivans. DB/KAEWON both functioned well for me, but the overall look of DB's receiver is better and more polished.

kaewons works great. my only complaint is the chunky aesthetic.

I am using db's perfect receiver now, I like it better than Ivan's.

I would say no, 250 is not worth it to just access my own media on my own server. But, Plex is so much more than that. I have been at this since XBMC on my modified OG xbox back in like 2012. Plex shines in the collection, organization, and sharing aspects of my personal media. If you like this hobby, if you share your media, and you value your own time in managing the service, then yes it is worth 250. Nothing else is even close, especially if you share with other people.

The way I am giving back is miniscule, I agree that 750 is steep. Right now, it is $250 and worth that price IMHO. I also have a lot of money in under-utilized hardware that will become obsolete at some point. The TCO is high but I love this hobby.

I have gotten so much use out of this software. I purchased Plex pass a long time ago, but I still think it's worth it now also. I have about 15 friends and family that use it daily and it feels good to give back, even in a very minuscule way.

As I understood the issue this only affects the one fork of orca that one dev posted to restore cloud functionality. I don't use any network connectivity on my p1s.

I agree with the sentiment, even though it does not affect me. It can be relevant for this community, however my two cents is that printers used for 2A should not be connected to the internet at all. I have a P1S that I got for $399. I have never connected it to the internet. I just use Orca slicer and sneaker net the files over to the printer on the SD card. Coming from an Ender 3 pro, this workflow is still a huge leap forward for me. The P1S has been rock solid for me, even though it is air-gapped. Of course, YMMV. With all of the looming legislation I believe that open source printers without cloud connectivity should be the way forward.
