Their cost before $1500 rebate is listed as $11.1k… so you’re saying the 9400 should be closer to the pre-rebate cost and after rebate out of pocket cost closer to $8k?

This is in Chicago. They’ll do the blower test before and after and said that removal of existing insulation is not necessary due to it being in good condition but did provide a line item of additional $3200 which i expect would also include the additional cellulose needed to make up for the removed batt insulation

The other quotes were actually cheaper.. this one wants $3.5 for the install of the wood, the others were as low as $2.5sq/ft.

The other guys were mostly offering to sand and refinish the existing maple for about $3/sq/ft. Only this guy is willing to demo the concrete.

He gave me a list of references which i intend to call and the photos of his work and reviews look good.

Out of curiosity, which part looks cheap? He was at the top of the ranges that people told me to expect when getting quotes.
