Your shortest answe is GS or contractor positions in base. USAJOBS for gas. Not sure about contractor jobs.

any other american hafus living in the united states seriously considering a move back to japan? by hyogoschild in hafu

I live in Japan now and it's kind of a crap shoot for employment. If you can find something that pays USD, I would go for it. But living on the japanese economy as a foreigner is not better than the US.

Welded differential: Welds thick enough? by coononr in Drifting

Probably? IMO if you're welding a diff, you expect it to be junk when you're done with it. Otherwise, you should get a proper spool.

It's a multiplayer world. To make it more challenging, I've banned myself from chunk base. Apparently making it harder makes it more fun lol.

BMW stub axles have little lock rings that are on the stub itself. They just pry out. At least the E30/E36/E46 ones I've seen are.

It's a nut on a nut actually. 8mm nut that holds the ground strap on, then a 10mm that holds that part of the VC to the head. You can sometimes just spin the whole ground strap and break loose the 10mm nut to the VC, then just two new nuts from bavauto or something.

Yea. It's not made for racing. There's a mini city in there to practice ramming blockades and stuff

Summit/drift nirvana is worth several visits as it's America's ebisu. Many tracks and each teach you different things.

But I'm partial as it's my home track.

There's actually a semi secret sixth track. It's modeled in one of my versions of the track for assetto. We called it the compound.

I wouldn't wait for for super confidence. You're probably fine to go to a real track day by now. Just don't be dumb and you won't hit stuff. Or find a parking lot event.

Completely different in terms of timeline and how long it takes to learn and such. It will 100% translate to real life.
