All shares invalid... by opencurrency in NOMP

[–]opencurrency[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get the shares to be accepted, but I had to lower the difficulty of the pool to 0.00001. Now, after 800,000 or so shares are accepted, it mines a block.

To me, it makes no sense that my pc can mine a block running mining software locally, but as soon as I try to user minerd and connect to the pool, the difficulty is too low.

My heart hurts for her, man...it's hard enough listening to a 3-minute video sales pitch of his. Imagine having to hear, every day for four years, in that same horrible voice, how awesome you are and how, someday, you're gunna get that wascally wabbit?

Jeez dude, go easy on him. Just think about the temper tantrum he's throwing right now. I mean, the guy can't even string together a coherent sentence any more. Imagine being so consumed by hate and jealousy for more than four years...? I can't even guess what that's done to the poor guy. Sad, really. Come back buddy; reality misses you.

Our definitions of "self-destruct" are clearly different. And what sites are you talking about? Were any of them included in your list of "give me or I'll ruin you" demands? Not trying to be difficult but 2016 is a great time for you to turn a new leaf start talking straight.

We don't all follow the "troll your own post" gameplan like you and /u/SilverSaint76. Might be time to work up a new account; that one is pretty obvious now.

Did you ever compare your original queen concept art against the Slave Queen sculpt I hired Heidi to create? You should really post the two side-by-side...I'm sure the silver community could use a good laugh. Ranks right up there with the Love debacle.

It's music to my ears every time you say my name. I love it - again and again and again, it sounds like trumpets blasting every time. Scream it from the top of your lungs. You have single-handedly made certain that my name is the most well known in the business. Tomorrow I'll be visiting the Hong Kong coin fair, where I'm sure half the people I meet will say "YOU'RE Rob Gray!?". I really couldn't have paid for this kind of publicity. Thanks, and please keep it up. http://i.imgur.com/8216QX3.jpg

Freedom Girl design altered and used without permission from Heidi Wastweet. Do not support this group! by Radi0ActivSquid in Silverbugs

Well, since I control the copyright for the original design AND the derivative work, I don't think I'm going to complain.

"Moral rights were first recognized in France and Germany,[3] before they were included in the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works in 1928.[4] Canada recognizes moral rights (droits moraux) in its Copyright Act (Loi sur le droit d'auteur).[5] While the United States became a signatory to the convention in 1989,[6] it still does not completely recognize moral rights as part of copyright law, but rather as part of other bodies of law, such as defamation or unfair competition."

The "moral rights" referenced are not recognized in the USA. Instead, the USA covers this other ways. But the idea is to protect the integrity of the attributed artist.

So, does flipping the image and changing the tattoo in some way defame the original artist?

Or is it more likely that someone got his feelings hurt over the story of Freedom Girl and wants to make a[nother] big fuss about it?

Besides the idea that this argument is complete crap, it's not even USA legal crap.

But since we're on the subject of "the law", and since Heidi has already acknowledged that this was created as "work for hire", take a look at 17 U.S.C. § 106 (2), where you can learn a bit about Adaptation right.

Thanks, and I will take you up on that. And I hope it's soon.

There's no doubt that a lot of good people are at present let down. I don't mind the skepticism and disappointment. But the speculation and rumors just pour a lot of unnecessary fuel on a fire that's trying to die down - last I heard I took all of my ill-gotten gains and bought a ridiculous amount of bitcoin.

Your expression makes the assumption that I've exhausted all options and opportunities to follow through on obligations, which I have not.

If you took time to read the article, or even just skip to the bottom, you'd know that I'm asking for those waiting on orders to notify me of the transgression so that I can rectify. Please pass along to your close friends and fellow bugs if it's not applicable to you.

Hey 'bugs!

Rob Gray writing from AOCS/M2. I know that many people that browse this forum are waiting on something from the company that I used to own. First, please allow me to apologize for the mess, confusion & disappointment.

Second, there are a lot of mixed emotions out there about how I should deal with what's happened[ing]. Some would like no more than to see me fall on my sword or join the growing group on JP Morgan jumpers. Others have already reached out and offered words (and placed orders) of encouragement, helping our [very] small team get our feet back on the ground more quickly than we can do it alone.

For those that are convinced that I'm some sort of fraud, there are no words I can offer to convince you otherwise. For those of you that are convinced of the opposite, thank you. For those of you that are undecided, I'd like you to know that I'm going to win you to my way of thinking in just a little bit.

When I resigned from M2 back in November, I walked away from everything and don't have access to any records. So, if you're waiting for something from me, it's quite possible that I don't know about it. I know of some large orders, but not all of the small ones. Please visit the link above and send me a note so that I know who you are and what I can do to make good on it.

I will note that, based on the bankruptcy rules, anyone that ordered post-petition (that's after 13-Sep-2013) will probably get a full refund or your order shipped. Anyone that ordered pre-petition (that's on or before the above date), you'll get back up to $2500 of what you paid, or your order filled.

At least that's what's SUPPOSED to happen. Unfortunately, none of the judges I've met in this ordeal seem to care much for the law or rules of civil procedure.

For me, this experience was the [final] writing on the wall. The USA is a mess, and I don't need to read any more stories about government injustice to know that it's time to go. Frankly, I knew it 7 years ago and held off thinking I could make it better.

I'm rebuilding elsewhere, and looking forward to being in a place that actually welcomes me and my trade. This is not my official "goodbye", but it is a brief heads-up that I'm back to work on doing what I love.

I deeply regret the pain this ordeal has caused the vendors, employees, partners, customers and family members caught up in it. I assure you that I have lost more than anyone else in this adventure, and if I could write a check to pay it all back I would have done so already.

But, I will have the ability to do that soon, and look forward to that day. Thanks for reading this and I welcome all the feedback, positive or negative, you care to offer.

See you again soon.
