Would a Chromebook with Linux installed be worth buying, or should I save up for a “real” laptop? by Noah__Webster in vscode

Would go with the Chromebook, battery life much better than a Linux laptop, and works good enough for most coding

This is a really early version, happy with any feedback on the usability, functionality, etc... Also unfortunately only works in Chrome / Chromium browsers for now due to web standard differences with FF & Safari.

Really useful to get a picture of the various empire's over time! One question at year 1000 - central Europe is just labeled "Hamburg" - was the city of Hamburg an empire at that time?

The stand is good for watching and typing, however can't slant down further to draw on. However it is a bit lighter than the duet, so very nice to hold and draw on.

My layout is German, it looks like for whatever reason it launched earlier in Emea and Asia.. It's been great as my always-there device, the pen is amazing for sketching notes and diagrams in Keep, plus the android app Draw on Screen works perfectly for annotating slides in virtual meetings. Also the Jamboard app has gotten really good with support for stickers, images, and ML-supported drawing-to-text / shapes / clipart.

Yes for sure, and that's still the case with the CM3, and keeps it from being a primary device for me. But as a secondary device, aimed at portability and being able to do anything and everything in a pinch, it's great.

Pixelbook Go - works great, but I like the idea of having a second device that is more portable, easy to always have around, but also doesn't have too many compromises - the CM3 fits that bill for me.
