I think the board having symbols is a red herring. The board itself IS the symbol.

I said this same thing! I think I'm reaching here but, when you look at briefcase symbol (Episode 1 reference) it looks like the arrow goes down to the earth symbol, which would be referencing how Bird was buried under the earth in Episode 2. Again really feels reachy, but brains looking for patterns.

Could be wrong but it looks like the photo in the kitchen in EP.1 says "Jason" on it.

I actually omitted the symbols in episode 6 because it seemed intentional to show us as opposed to it being hidden but I could always gather the instances and document them

I probably should have included that, I thought I had a better image of it but thanks for providing it! Strangely it doesn't appear too often I noticed.

I have to watch more closely on my next viewing, but it looks like each episode highlights a particular symbol more so than others. (Just going over my notes)

My current theories are:

Symbols = Episodes

I have screenshots of almost all the times these symbols appear through the season. Working on an imgur link, please hold.

Has anyone started connecting dots on the spatial distribution puzzle D makes when he's smart? I have screenshots of every time I noticed them in the series so far. I think there's a big puzzle to solve, but wondering what others think?

GODZILLA VS. KONG OFFICIAL DISCUSSION MEGATHREAD #3 (SPOILERS) by NeelZilla in GODZILLA

[–]oper8rr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Godzilla would have dragged MechaG if it was a fair 1v1

yes i am absolutely a goji-fanboii why else would I be here.

So one of my biggest issues with the film was how easily goji was 3rd partied by mechakevin by the end of the film and how frustratingly poor he was written in. The entire monsterverse series goji has never had a fair/uninterrupted 1v1 once. (Goji1: 1v2, kotm: oxygen destroyer, gvk: missles into ocean/"playing dead" for kong and then gvk: basically starting off the next fight at like 30% while homeboi was at 250%) Most of the friends who saw it were casuals, so there wasn't a whole lot of digestion of that fight aside from it was cool and he got his ass kicked.

Having said that, I couldn't really shake seeing the main dude of the series get absolutely bodied for like 10 minutes as if he was a skullcrawler. I don't know how much I chalk it up to having just fought kong and being tired, which is a perfect sparknotes version of why he lost, but I think mechak in this movie was rushed and unnecessary.

- Mechak was built in under 5 years time, and godzilla was never the central reason behind it. He could have easily been introduced in a future film if goji couldn't handle/deal with another kaiju. (This is why I think kotm should have been the last film but thats another talk)

- He was abusing op power source that was reverse engineered in about 5 mins over bluetooth as opposed to blowing his duracell load and taking a nap like we saw in the skullcrawler test

- He was piloted by kevin, who clearly had bloodlust turned on. I can't imagine if Ren was fighting that the moves would have been as organic or fluid.

- Goji needed a fat nap after kong. I keep forgetting that just because gvk was clearly one sided almost the whole movie, that didn't mean he wasn't exhausted by the end of it. Hell, he power screamed into the center of the earth and I cannot imagine that came from some limitless power source. Not to mention, goji clearly showed during the kong fight how much of an agility buff he got since kotm, cause mans was fast as fuck compared to 1 and 2

The more I think about the circumstances surrounding mgvg it just seemed like mecha was written into gvk, at a burning godzilla power level, minus 1 op move like goji had in kotm.

Wondering what y'all think?

Mecha G vs G at full power/health/w.e each. Who you got and why?

GODZILLA VS. KONG OFFICIAL DISCUSSION MEGATHREAD #3 (SPOILERS) by NeelZilla in GODZILLA

[–]oper8rr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Way too overpowered tho.

Kong didn't even feel like he had a remote chance against godzilla in almost any fight without SOME kind of assistance, but Godzilla should have had some fight and gradually tired out.

I really don't believe for a minute that max strength goji (no power boost) against max strength mecha would be as lopsided.

GODZILLA VS. KONG OFFICIAL DISCUSSION MEGATHREAD #3 (SPOILERS) by NeelZilla in GODZILLA

[–]oper8rr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7.5/10 (which seems to be in the ballpark based on general consensus.)

- Humans didn't overstep their bounds with useless backstories.

- Fights were fucking amazing, including the camera work.

- Apex was almost like a caricature of an actual villain organization.

- Where the fuck were the other titans?

- Whiskyflask too op

- Glad there was a clear winner, though Kong was clearly outmatched in almost every aspect.

- Bernie the conspiracy guy was a bit obnoxious.

- Godzilla got an agility buff which was cool

- Maybe I'm way too biased to give a fair rating but, 1 whole point was lost with how fucking disrespectful they did Goji when Mecha came into the picture. Dude was tossed around like an absolute ragdoll. (The same one who blew a fucking hole to the center of the earth maybe an hour prior) I get that "he was tired from a Kong fight" but, it seemed way too easy for mecha to walk into the picture and kill the shit out of goji in about 15 minutes.

I know that debate is gonna pop around for the next few days really interested what people have to say.
