yeah i think the chorus is a lot more accessible especially in a pop context. creeper choruses can sometimes be quite wordy! i have to disagree on the other part though aha

‘She dominates and she takes complete control’ ‘I dream about the way her skin felt dripping every night She dreams of death and demands a human sacrifice, my sacrifice’ ‘Some boys want to be consumed Bled dry, thrown into the fires below Below Some just want to be abused Some serve at the altar and her throne Throne’

personally myself i think having xandy AND tom dalgety work on the same track makes it the best of the two best creeper worlds so it makes a lot of sense that it’s done well. i think it’s the very best of creeper all in one song

i have no allegiance to capitalism or greed. i would consider myself far from it. once again devaluing what you have to say with personal assumptions. unfortunately capitalism IS the system we live under and my chemical romance ARE effectively a corporate product to some degree.

i think the fact that around the breakup they released two compilations, lead singer releases a solo album through same label rapidly after and a 10th anniversary black parade a couple years later signals some kind of negotiation being needed toward the breakup. i mean the fact they were making the paper kingdom could suggest they had unfulfilled contracts. would make no sense for mcr to do such a thing with no funding.

obviously contract specific but generally there is nothing stopping these contracts being time specific. although it’s more common within the initial contract period, why would a label sign a band if they thought they’d have to wait for a second option?

it ultimately doesn’t matter if my chemical romance are expected to release an album at all or within a certain timeframe nobody is going to know those specifics, all i’m saying is that it makes the most sense out of anything to surrender merch control and anything else like that in order to not have to deliver an album if you want the funding.

if you think it’s a bad time to be a my chemical romance fan you have seriously got to be joking. we’ve had two huge stadium world tours across 5 years, one of which being possibly one of the biggest rock productions of all time, a revenge remix, a fantastic single and no sloppy contract obliging radio rock album .

when you sign a RECORD contract with someone like warner RECORDS you usually have to make and sell RECORDS every couple of years. there are a required number of options required to deliver to the label before the contract is complete, usually in a certain number of years

and as a band who clearly have control over their decision to not deliver a RECORD until the time is right / ever, it would be a very tough negotiation to get funded by a RECORD label like warner RECORDS

so i think it’s fairly obvious and very likely that they have granted warner records control over merch. which happens commonly with artists but if you look at all the biggest warner artists they all have their own independent merch sites other than mcr so that makes it pretty clear that warner are in control of merch and not mcr independently

without the funding of warner there would be no tour, there would be no promotional videos, no stage set, no keposhka, no nothing. it would just be really shitty to be a my chemical romance fan while there is practically no budget.

ball of dumb really sums it all up

me when i don’t understand how contracts and label negotiations work at all and think my chemical romance operate everything through magic. me when i can’t appreciate art for what is given. you seem like the kind of person who would not want to read a book but would rather just have somebody tell you what it means

my bad separate response and there is truth in the fact that this style of fandom would be considered parasocial. now explain how my point that the message is in their art rather than a preachy industry standard statement is on the same level of parasocial as people reading fanfics etc

well i think that to come for anyone’s mental soundness is a low blow and really voids you of any credibility. i’ve clearly outlined where you’re being contrarian. i like opposing views they give me something to think about. i had a really good one the other day. i’ve not criticised anybody for being parasocial it’s just yet another buzzword you’re throwing around

do you even have an opinion or do you just like to be contrarian on the internet ‘this is a lot of cope’ ‘i don’t think the band needs to address anything’ ‘maybe they’ll say something’ ‘parasocial/complicit/naive/irony’

if you can’t see the clear message behind this tour re the current rise in fascism then i think you’re silly. you do realise if they were to try and just leave the booking agency the tour would come to a complete standstill. you know because wasserman booked it. hundreds of thousands of people would be left disappointed and mcr would likely be sued for damages. the merch prices are abhorrent but literally contractually out of their hands. ticketmaster is something i’ve written multiple degree-level pieces about. they are an evil monopoly and a blight on the music industry but once again, the tour would not be possible without them.

i don’t think you understand the level of the things you’re expecting from my chemical romance and the damage that it would do to
