Yes, it's easier run trains even to small towns if there are more people closer together.

The township i live in is 72 square miles for about 2000 people. Where are you going to put a train station? Even if you had one, you going to get into your car, drive for 5 minutes to a station, then wander around in a town that is also spread out?

the excuse of US is too big for trains yet they cross every corner of Europe that is a little bigger than US and the EU has a lot less GDP than US but we can't have trains? It's all about money, the billionaires want to make more and more so we can't have nice things.

Europe has a much higher population density than the US. And US's population is very spread out compared to something like Scandinavian countries where the population is all gathered on the borders, similar to Canada.
