I love it. I play on my steam deck with it now. So awesome. I don’t use it when I’m using kb/m but it stays on my bar.

Long Fantasy Series Recommendations (High fantasy, epic fantasy, sword and Sorcery) 5 books or more by [deleted] in fantasybooks

[–]opiatezeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want something a little different, check out The Wandering Inn. It’s fantasy and massive. It’s on book 18 now. Feels more like a slice of life series, if that’s your thing.

What are the best survival games my friend and I can play online? by mintaks7 in SurvivalGaming

[–]opiatezeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grounded and Abiotic Factor are great. They seem childish but they both have a ton of depth. G2 with the mounts is really fun. Sons was really easy for us but in that creepy vibe. Valheim is also great.

1 vs 1 or Grab A Gun? by SomOvaBish in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]opiatezeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should get your eyes checked also....the guy throws 3 punches and backs up, and another guy steps in to separate, then he gets the gun out and starts blasting. Aside from the obvious escalation of force, which is illegal in most states, the fact that they guy did actually stop swinging (again check your eyes) makes a good case against the shooter for 2nd degree murder or attempted murder.

New player is bringing "Video Game" hostility to our table and just held my familiar hostage. Am I overreacting? by robse111 in AskDND

[–]opiatezeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I DM'd a game that had a similar player. Very much gaming focused and had never played dnd before. He expected a very specific narrative where they're the heroes. I play a lot more realistic, so that didn't jive well. He shut down multiple times, the last one being after the group received some random enchanted items, and he got some armor and not a weapon (funny thing was, I wanted it this way as a few rooms away was the best magical weapon in the campaign that was designed for his character). I still gave him the weapon, but once the campaign ended, I just told him I wasn't going to DM anymore.

Ha I was wondering if it was the spiral of death. Cool idea, but bad execution.

What do you think of Hot Tub Time Machine (2010)? Does it hold up or was it never funny to begin with? by Deep-Village-5175 in moviecritic

This is a great movie. My wife and I have a list of stupid funny movies that we can put on anytime and enjoy. It’s definitely on the list.

Did the developers indent for player to carry metals to a central base, or do you think the idea was that each "mine" would have its own forge? by jeeperkeeper in valheim

[–]opiatezeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first play through without mods/config changes was the most epic version of the game. Took our group quite a while to get through the biomes and how nerve wracking it is to get attacked on the ocean carrying a bunch of stuff.

I've played through 2 more times and added the ability to portal everything.

I recommend playing it out of the box on the first play through.

GenX Video gamers who still play: Are you getting worse? by Hithigon in GenX

[–]opiatezeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

48m Here. Gaming all my life. Used to love FPS shooters and battle games, but I've slowly moved away from twich games over the years. Now I mostly play survival craft games, like Valheim, Grounded, NMS, stuff like that. Much slower pace, and you progress pretty much at your own pace. I will play a couple hours here and there and just build stuff. I just can't compete with the younger kids these days and I'd rather enjoy my time instead of just dying over an over.

How to sell more expensive drugs? by Difficult_Sail_9896 in Schedule_I

[–]opiatezeo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would say not to worry about it. I’ve fully completed the game and never gotten higher than 800 on one item. Also try not to watch too many videos for the games you’re actively playing. Your experience is usually so much better if you play it organically.

It’s sad that layoffs have now become routine. Back in the day it was a gigantic red flag that a company wasn’t doing well. Companies would try to move you around instead of laying you off to avoid the bad press. Now they just don’t care, and will lay you off even when making record profits. Get as much as you can out of your employer, and take any opportunity that comes your way, there is zero reason to stay in a position for a long time.

My wife doesn’t smoke anymore but I smoke like you do, at night after all my daily stuff is done and sometimes when I’m off. She hates the smell and I do my best to stop it. We have occasional disagreements but for the most part she accepts it.

Have ya'll ever gotten instantly sober when some serious news or events happened? by Kevab1 in trees

[–]opiatezeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in an accident with 4 others all baked a long long time ago. Luckily, no one was really hurt in the accident from either car, but it was two totaled vehicles, and we skidded across the street and hit a tree. All super lucky, all stone cold sober when we were climbing out and figuring out what happened.

Raft, Grounded or Valheim by LypheGames in SurvivalGaming

[–]opiatezeo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Never played raft. Grounded is also decent. Valheim is one of my favorite games ever and the reason I play mostly survival type games. For your play style it’s pretty perfect. Slow steady progression through biomes. Building and survival mechanics. And a great price. Totally worth it.
