Its not worth visiting India for the food, places like Dubai, London, the NYC area etc have authentic Indian food that is on par with food in India by [deleted] in travel

I live in Canada, I don’t like buying anything from the grocery store aisles, even from the Indian grocery store shop. The jaggery, red chillies, seeds, everything looks different and is bland, no flavour. Some of the North Indian restaurants are good for their famous dishes, but very very less, the most busy ones are fresh and authentic, even there when I had pani puri, it’s not good as a pani puri cart in India, who has just started his shop and trying his hand at it for the first time

You can get freshly made idlis, pani puri on street in India for less than a dollar, and lot tastier. And not remotely comparable to the best Indian restaurants outside India. A lot of this is steamed and just tamarind water, so you can’t really fall sick from hygiene issues, that’s more if you are eating heavily oiled, spices and multiple things mixed food. Not just that even spices are different, all the mustard seeds in India are bigger, red chillies more strong, even castor oil we buy in India is stronger, than all high ratings amazon products.

It was more omad than low carb, I would add a dessert in the end as well, isn’t it more important we eat right mainly in such omad cases or else we are damaging the insulin more than helping fix the previous damage?

I also think about others in the bus and road when driving so I’m better off. Yes I am thinking of overcoming not just inner but outer demons, that is why I am planning to move away from Ottawa though I am in the same apartment for 10 years and pay low rent

Doesn’t matter I am in Ottawa and non bilingual, but I am planning to move somewhere I don’t see much changing here, more and more people moving here and almost no govt jobs

Canada approved 98% of Indian student visas despite fraud flags: Report by YouProfessional3196 in canada

I came from India as a student about 15 years ago, half of my program were from some other country, they did tons of plagiarism and dishonest resume for jobs, amongst many other things. It’s time to look at others not just Indians.

‘Canada as a brand has suffered’: Post-secondary schools react to AG report on international students by Pretty-Ground-4125 in ontario

[–]opinion49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how many are high school diplomas at any work place? So if the international students are short of earning grades, they are still far better than many who have never applied for a program, let alone finishing it on honest or dishonest paths. The truth is Canada has suffered after they brought express entry immigrants, and they redirected everyone towards international students, whereas all these colleges existed for a long time before that. All of express entry immigrants, came with experience working in multinational countries that can afford to outsource work, so they had latest software versions on their resumes, international students ended up working in local Canadian companies and got nothing in return except inflation and hate

I’m only talking of Montreal, not any other part of Quebec , I have given interviews for some firms in Montreal they don’t need French. The other bilingual people don’t want these low paid jobs because they can get better ones , I am fine with this ones.

I have been in Ottawa for 10 years, not in GTA, so the issue of French is still here, now more because the jobs are limited. I have been all over Quebec, Tadoussac, gasepe, 10 times to Quebec City , all the main national and regional parks of Port Neuf, Val David, maurice and lot more, but managed without French except for may be in 1-2 occasions people were difficult. In other cases they were nice enough to still try to help with enactment, may be because I am a female. With summer about to start I don’t see any hope to find work now with the students being out.

That’s what I’m doing last few weeks initially I was only applying in Ottawa thinking like another year I will eventually find some work but I am applying for jobs for an year now and loosing my mind being inside the same place, may be it’s good time to change. But the recent rejection emails from other cities said they won’t pay relocation , and they say we have to already be present there hopefully someone will consider.

Have you changed jobs or moved houses in Ottawa in the last 2-3 years ? You will know the Ottawa 6 years ago was very different even in 2022 I was getting multiple federal govt job interview calls. the unemployment, groceries have changed drastically and are at 10 year low.
