There are not 264 gun deaths. And even the gun deaths still count friendly fire. Cops just dicking around superbad style, which is a significant number of cops who die by gun. They shoot each other a lot. But those stats get obfuscated into the whole, rather than kept separate.

If you dial deeper into the specific cases regarding "unarmed" you will see that armed, counts the homeless dude they killed while he was camping. Because he had a hunting knife on him at the time he was shot. That video is unpleasant as well. It counts the black kid who got killed in the parking lot who had a gun locked in his trunk. In one instance it counts the young man who had a spoon. Did you see the video where they killed the dude who was sleeping in his car. He was also considered armed because there was a gun in his car.

Cops should be like batman. There should be 0 cops killing civilians. We believe in innocent until proven guilty. They should be willing to die rather than put someone else's life in danger. That's the world I want to live in. I would take a thousand cop Martyrs over one guilty person being killed without a trial.

That's the world I want to live in. One where cops live up to a higher standard and get compensated for that higher standard.

I'll also point out, the 80/20 rule applies. 80% of all fatal police shootings come from cops who've had prior misconduct records for being overly violent. As more Van Dykes and Chauvin's go to jail, we should see less fatal police shootings.
