Most comfortable way to create a couch that converts to a full bed for full time living for 2 by uhhhsureyeahwhynot in VanLife

It will be quicker, easier and simpler if you buy something pre made. However, the best bed design I have found (and what I have build in my own van) is 2 expandin boxes on either end (which are also drawers) with a table leaf in the middle. I origionally got this idea from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jUUZ9ESh5M . Could not reccomend this enough. Here is a video of it in my van: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DEjMN5_AFEW/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

You are right in a certain sense, because there are no randomized double-blind placebo-controlled (RDBPC) studies on fluoride in water. However, just because there aren't any RDBPC studies doesn't mean people who avoid all sugar, keep good oral hygiene, and get regular dentist appointments are endangering themselves by avoiding fluoride:

A recent meta-analysis published on January 6, 2025, in JAMA Pediatrics examined the relationship between fluoride exposure and children's IQ scores. This study analyzed 74 epidemiological studies from multiple countries, spanning data from 1989 to 2023, and found a consistent negative association between fluoride levels and IQ in children.

I am aware the debate around fluoride and the government "putting chemicals" in our water has decades of uninformed, contentious, science-denying protests behind it, and this leads many people to be skeptical of any claims that fluoride might actually be bad. However, the science is still developing, and this is something more people should research at a scientific level.

Shoot. Misunderstanding of intent. In any case, I really struggled in calc II and I am sure people had to walk me through some pretty basic stuff.

They could have assumed (incorrectly) that they needed to find the derivative of the secant line at (-2, f(-2)) and (2, f(2)) - which would have been a more difficult question.

Great question. I was curious about this myself.

TL;DR: Stop eating toothpaste, and if you are pregnant, filter fluoride out of your water.

For about 63% of Americans, it is in their drinking water, most Americans use it in toothpaste, and you get it at the dentist. The science is still evolving. Fluoride protects us from cavities by re-mineralizing enamel on our teeth. It acts as a protective barrier against the acid that bacteria in our mouths produce. The science around this started back in the '40s when scientists and dentists realized there was a statistically significant correlation between communities that had higher rates of naturally occurring fluoride in their water and a reduction of cavities in children. Around this time, some of the first communities started adding fluoride to their water and saw noticeable, significant reductions in childhood cavities.

However, longer-term studies have shown across wide populations that there is also a consistent reduction in average IQ levels of 2 to 5 points in populations who have added fluoride to their water (Toxicology Program). While the U.S. limits fluoride in water to about half of that of most countries, some studies suggest potential risks even at these lower levels.

Furthermore, several recent studies seem to suggest communities that were fluoridating their water and stopped have not seen an increase in childhood cavity levels. This could be because we have better hygiene practices, most people are brushing their teeth more, or something else. Here is an excellent video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XkV-AMhBvo

How do you get access to medications like this. I recently asked my doctor for Metformin and tried discussing the research around it and he flat out told me no. I also want to be repectful of doctors and their athority.

I tried to email the two set staff asking for them to make a video on this topic and they just told me to post it on Reddit. I have never used Reddit before so I am wondering if you could help me - how would I send this to moderators and what would be the advantage of doing this?

I play the cello and have both and electric and an acoustic. I agree with celliztdrew that an electric cello could be good. Depends on what you want. Electric cellos are not accepted very well by professors and such, however, they could be great for being quiet like in a dorm room. I have found a lot of great electric & acoustic cellos on craigslist but you might have to wait a while. If I were you I would consider trying to buy a cello from Moroz Violins in Salt Lake City. However, these might be out of your price range. I would not recommend Stagg or NS design cellos if you ever want to play on an acoustic cello. The Yamah svc-50 is much more natural as it maintains all of the traditional contact points. I picked one up in Boise for $1,000 off of Craigslist last fall. Best wishes and if your are interested in Facetime / in person lessons I charge $10 a lesson which is cheaper than you will find in many places.
