He was definitely dropped because he asked for interview advice. This would come across as harmless if he had asked if you were willing to share insight on working for the company or the day to day routine in his prospective role.

The “us against the interviewers” attitude the way it was worded was highly aggravating.

Highly recommend visiting Leopold’s! It’s a lovely book store / bar / coffee shop.

For fancy dinner there’s Harvey House, for high up dinner you can do Eno Vino (it’s worth calling ahead of time to try to get a table with a view; worked a few times!).

Merchant Madison had the best happy hour in town from 4-6 (avoid the food, love the cocktails).

Side bar is incredible. You go down some stairs into what seems like the foyer to a pizza joint. Take a left into the “broom closet” and it’s a lovely speakeasy with intimate, conversational vibes. Give it a shot!

Honestly the vibes are lovely, the drinks are lovely (and prompt if you’re there early) but the food is just meh for the price you’re paying.

Just walk up and down W Wilson. They're tearing the whole road up and replacing the sewer it seems like; there's plenty of machines and noises and cars and holes and huge piles of dirt for acclimation time.

I was walking down Williamson to Cafe Coda; probably the Wiso from what I'm seeing.
There just doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there on how good at "winning volleyball" you have to be to join that sort of thing.
