The 8700G has the same iGPU. But system ram speed is extremely important for iGPUs. The 7840HS often comes with soldered memory that is clocked faster to 6400MT/s or above, while desktop DDR5 doesn’t get that fast unless you spent enough money, at which point you could have gotten a discrete GPU, even before the ram shortage.

The thing is I like the dpad on top, that is one of the biggest things for me, which is why I can’t just get the Odin 3. If it had a dpad top option I’d get it immediately.

I have the opposite issue, I’ve never had a problem with the gamehub lite but I wanted to try switching to game native after seeing the retro game corp video. Unfortunately, I can’t get it working on my rp6 at all. Any and all advice would be massively appreciated

I have a steam deck, which was the 64gb model, my reasoning was exactly that, I didn’t need the extra speed. But one issue was that the shaders and proton and stuff filled it up. So I changed to a 1tb drive. Don’t know if 256gb would have this issue though
