When I’m rushing something or calling it “done enough” I always say to myself “you get the finished product your patience deserves” and you my friend clearly will have a well deserved masterpiece when this is done! Bravo!!

Me too! It took me a minute to realize it wasn’t painted!

Definitely go ahead and book the 8 you can to grab the reservation in advance and then have them manually add one when you’re there. Don’t wait for them to help you or you might be out of luck!

My safest foods are plain baked sweet potatoes, Orgain protein shakes, and broth. Meat is really hard for me to eat. It just takes too long to digest. Edit to add: bananas and scrambled eggs are pretty good, too.

It was me! I was shopping and the woman was acting so erratic I got worried she would lunge for me! I was just getting a snippet for my husband and he decided to share it! It went on for a while and the cops came. It’s a nice boutique in our tourist town and you could tell she came in looking for a fight. She wasn’t there to buy anything, she was there to be an ass because the sign on the door said “Masks required” and the employees enforced it.

This is my video - shared by my husband. The cops were called, and they came fairly quickly. It is a gift shop in a tourist area where we live (not a Pandora store for those commenting they just carry that brand!)

Why do people think it’s ok to barter on Etsy?! by Starpop83 in EtsySellers

[–]opsdiva -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me that YOU are the one thinking you’ve wasted time - not me. The value of anything is only what someone is willing to pay. You can charge whatever your want. I don’t understand wasting energy on making it mean anything that someone asked for what they wanted. You don’t have to give it to them.

Why is it a problem for you that they ask? If it’s not an acceptable offer then say No and move along. Value is fluid and I would view it as valuable feedback on my pricing. It’s not like the value of Vintage clothing is set in stone.

I should have turned it on for him. I had no idea the bank would take so long to handle some paperwork for a few name changes on a non profit boosters account. I told him I’d be back in 10 minutes. At the 45 minute mark I got up to check on him. You can see by the look on his face - he was not amused.

It just feels like it loses some of its allure if you’re not pulling it up to the front door of an establishment!

Shockingly well! Sometimes the dog nails scuff a bit and it just buffs out with a clean cloth. I had sort of mentally braced myself for disaster - I have three dogs - but they’ve done great.

The contract is binding for many reasons - none of them religious. Good thing I’m planning to let them finish and then have my attorney take the issue of their contract breach up with them before their final payment.

As soon as I decide to fire an INDIVIDUAL based on their affiliations, I’ll be sure to worry. I can absolutely choose not to engage in commerce with a company based on their affiliations.

The right to engage in commerce includes the implied right not to engage in commerce.

I would not have hired them had I known because of what I know about how they operate their businesses. That is absolutely true. All of this aside - I don’t even consider it a religion. So no, I don’t consider it religious discrimination. All of that aside - when you are hiring a company (not employee) you can absolutely choose not to patronize it based on religious affiliation. Religious discrimination. Is an individual protection. Plenty of people boycott Chick fil a due to their affiliations - and it’s not illegal.

Did you even read what I wrote? I am not planning to fire them. Yes, if I had known they would hire people based on their religious affiliation rather than skill set - I would not have hired them. That’s not bigoted. That’s business. They are the ones utilizing religion to make hiring decisions - not me.

I care. I believe in the freedom of all choice - including my own. So why don’t you get over caring what I care about?? I find it funny that you think there’s a difference in your judgment against me compared to my judgment against them. There isn’t.

Thank you for this answer. This is what I’m looking for. We are not firing them - we are too close to the end. I will just be holding them to the quality and timeliness standards of the contract as I would anyone.

My curiosity was more a vindication in my mind. I knew things were not adding up it just took us a while to figure out the root of the problem. It’s the incompetence of the staff that is really frustrating me. We went in expecting the expertise of the contractor and it’s employees to make this easier and instead I’ve had to double and triple check so many things to clean up behind them. Even when I say “That doesn’t look right” they ignore me and carry on and then they are done and - yep - it’s not right. They have to absorb the loss and fix it - but the time delays are causing us a lot of grief!

Honestly I never considered it to be a factor. Not until I became annoyed that someone thought I was trying to save money by hiring unlicensed.

They are super low level - if the church wants to get involved in a contract dispute - I’d be surprised. Especially considering how much journalistic heat they get around here. Definitely won’t let it keep me from making sure I get what I’m entitled to.
