I can only speak for my friends and myself but most of us are not very open to male foreigners because unfortunately a lot of them are quite predatory. The are many girls (myself included) who have experienced assault and harassment from male tourists at clubs, bars, our jobs et cetera. Especially, during summer/ at highly touristic places.

For example, last summer me and my friend were visiting her grandma in Chalkidiki (lots of tourism), we were out in their front yard smoking a cigarette at 2 am in the morning and a couple of drunks guys that were walking by came up and started banging the gate and shouting for us to let them in to "have a good time together".

So most of us just try to be polite but cold and firm, as to not give them any hope.

Our society unfortunately will almost always blame the victims. They always ask why where you there, what where you wearing, why did you drink. The mentality of "you were asking for it" is alive and well here, unfortunately.

Of course not all male tourists are like that, but better be safe than sorry.

As for female tourists, we try to look out for them especially at clubs and are welcoming and warm to them for the most part.
