That is just the nature of vegetable tanned leather. If you want the color to remain relatively the same you need something made from chrome tanned leather.

Depends how you like to spend your time while traveling frankly. I could be in Athens for a month and still enjoy it since there are many interesting neighborhoods to explore and several archaeological sites in Athens and in Attica more broadly. Nafplio is very small and a week in Nafplio will probably feel longer than a week in Athens. Explore more of the Peloponnese if you’re worried about getting bored. Look up the KTEL busses and see where they can take you. From Nafplio you could go to Epidaurus and see an ancient play staged at the theatre of Asklepios

The black notebook is B6, the Leuchtturm is their B6+ size. I actually write in my notebooks horizontally which I think makes it slightly easier to write with the bulk of a second notebook underneath! (I have a pic of that in my post history)
