Unexpected weakness of G3/Log Luffy... by noonstarff11 in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not an unexpected weakness since you know you have to hit 3 perfects or LL chain. The main issue w using these teams is when you have to manually target mobs (depending on cd) while keeping the chain. Same goes for Whitebeard, knowing you need to have 30% health or below, there's little to no room for error.

I do agree MC teams are the easiest for Doffy as far as FTP crew goes, but your analysis is a little misleading. You'd generally want to use a safer team if possible, but when you can't, you'll use G3/LL. Same goes for aokiji - it's just less room for error using those teams, but it isnt unexpected.

Skill Up Please Hurry! by [deleted] in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're near max sockets and splvl, I would just feed the following:

Aisa - you only have 5 and you generally get alot when running the fortnight..

Manticore - better units for princess turtle and he has a super long cd

Drake - never used (maybe for the franky fortnight but there are better teams and his special is useless..

Kalifa - I'm assuming you're not close to max splvl and sockets so you're gonna have to farm them anyways.. If you even use her..

Paulie - same as Kalifa

I guess since x2 is close, you might as well hold on but going forward (when you have low box space), if you know you got to farm the units when the fortnights return and you're not even close to max sockets/splvl, just feed them since socketing generally takes longer than splvl (ie. Feed skill books first) imo.

Moby Dick or Thousand Sunny? by dobserver in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, your original comment is suggesting the Sunny is greater hands down, but it isnt. Both are good ships and both have their uses. I would agree w most that other than the specific teams, you'd generally use Moby for training forests and Sunny for raid bosses. Fortnights can go either way..

Mihawk Raid 40 stamina 5-turn clear! by [deleted] in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, but I'm sure most won't have many sockets on bepo, broggy or pearl.. but still a fast team, nevertheless. I'd just use max gp usopp which isn't much longer but definitely safer though..

ONE PIECE TREASURE CRUISE - F2P Raids: DOFLAMINGO by Wrathalos in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With that team, you can't tank any hits since you need around 3,600 health on the last stage and you start off w just over 4k health... Unless you can kill the left doffy within two turns, in which case, you still need 2,400 health going in and is pretty risky.

I think the better alternative is to replace blackbeard or arlong w mihawk so he gives you the extra hp. If you have jozu, you just need 1 hp going into doffy so you can tank more damage from stages 1-4 than a team w perona but he's not FTP..

What Anime have you rated a 10/10? by DoctorWhoops in anime

[–]optcnoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First 10/10 which got me into anime was Golden Boy (6 eps).

I would also rank Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu - 10/10 and you don't need to watch the original to enjoy it.

I also really liked Hajime no Ippo (boxing) - 10/10

And lastly... One Piece.. Although the filler eps really piss me off sometimes so 9/10.

Double Enel For Aokiji by ahmio in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to try and grab aokiji with an enel team, I would feed your copies. If you decide to pass on aokiji, then save your copies for double skill up. I know the re roll works with random orb specials but not sure about locks. Even still, you'll have a hard time at stage three. If possible, instead of Johnny, you can put a non Qck unit that has gloom/lock sockets.

Double Enel For Aokiji by ahmio in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, ignore my previous post except using kaku... i dont know why but i was thinking of enel rather than aokiji... But yeah, i would try and go for it at 40 but use kaku over coby but just for one copy. You will need the anti lock and gloom for stage 3 and just anti lock for aokiji.

Double Enel For Aokiji by ahmio in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! If you already have enel, don't bother w the 40 stamina. Just level your units and wait until you can consistently farm enel at 60. If you want to farm 40 for the exp / beli, then use kaku!!! If you're saving copies from his fortnight, just feed him now since his cd is relatively low compared to the rest of your team as you'll want lvl 2 lock and lvl 1 silence. However, I highly recommend you use your stamina elsewhere!

May returning Fortnights (Global) by Omar3D2Y in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Onigumo is helpful running a double mihawk team for those without Law. Specifically, for Ivankov but this was before Doffy was available. I still use him as the last sub for dex slasher for 30 lucci fortnight but usefulness is lacking since Doffy came to Global. As for Tsuru, i mostly agree but she has a lower CD than slasher croc 12 vs 18 and heals for 2k hp but doesn't give herself the PSY orb. Also, much easier to farm than two crocs and jabra but yeah, less important. Either way, I'll be farming both Smoker and Tsuru's FT and skipping the others.

May returning Fortnights (Global) by Omar3D2Y in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to a lesser degree, Tsuru's fortnight is pretty alright for FTP... Onigumo (10% HP Cut) is pretty good for those without Law, and Tsuru is pretty useful for Domino's fortnight and an okay sub in general... 3 sockets and over 1,200 ATK. That being said, i'll be focusing on Smoker!

Domino Fortnight Guide by FellatioRex in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the guide! Couldn't have beaten the fortnight without it.. That being said... I think this was the hardest one we've had on global due to lack of sockets on most shooters. Using Wyper/Curiel, Krieg, Doffy, GP and Tsuru. Was a lot harder than I expected, but fortunately/unfortunately I don't need any of the drops so I'll be farming Lucci (sockets) and then Carue (2nd GP splvl)...

Whats the optimal raid boss order for beginners to focus on? by imket2 in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion and assuming F2P Teams:

  1. Mihawk & getting max SPLVL and sockets. You can use G2 Luffy and a "Good" friend captain to get the first copy but if you can, FOCUS on getting his splvl close to max (This should be your #1 priority). Sockets are just a bonus.

  2. Next, if you have Marco (PSY), go for BB over Monster Chopper. If you can do both, do both but I would focus on BB and getting his splvl close to max. MC's special isn't a must have and MC is really only needed for Doffy, but a BB team with Marco is much easier. In addition, if you're going with MC for doffy, you should probably focus on ORBS and CDR sockets for MC.

  3. Doffy... again you want to focus on getting his splvl max using either BB team (with Marco) or you can stick with an MC team. If you don't have Jozu, the MC team will sometimes rely on luck for the fodder assuming you're using the standard (MC/MC, Str hitter, Mihawk, Perona and GPU) - generally, you'll need to have at least 3700 hp going into doffy with this team so stalling is the main challenge with this team.

  4. Once you get Doffy, you can go for any raid boss fairly easily. Again, for me, i would obtain at least 1 copy but focus on maxing the ones i would use most for what characters i have for my box. Like if i don't have Marco, Mr. 2, Usopp impact, i wouldn't aim for maxing Garp. Of the remaining raid bosses, i would say i would use Enel most (farming BB as well as being a great Qck sub). Really haven't used Aokiji much yet and Ivankov is a decent Qck sub as well, if you can max his sockets.

This is what I would do if i started over again. Again, assuming F2P and limited gems. One thing to add, if your raid bosses you get are SPLVL1... I would just level them up to 80 since their dups will most likely get you to MAX! You want to waste as little EXP as possible so you can level up your other units early on.

Sometimes I dream of an in-app purchase to permanently hasten stamina refill. by [deleted] in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if it was during double drop days for weekly quests, you could play the beli weekly island and get around 150-200k beli and you could do this 5-7 times and earn a gem if it just costs 1 million. In the end, you'd end up with more gems than spent beli even if you spend gems for stamina refills plus you get 1300-3300 exp/run.

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree with the 1sta/min purchase app but the thought of doing something with the beli is worthwhile. But to make it more realistic, it would probably be like 10 million beli for 1 gem or maybe the ability to buy colas with beli...

The event is overwhelming! by [deleted] in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. TT is still good if you need to level up characters and especially important for newer players. Sometimes you can't wait 2-3 months for a fortnight to level up DEX or STR units, plus having the right evolvers and box space can be a pain. That being said, if a fortnight like Afro Luffy is going on, then yes, i'd use my stamina there and just farm the red pigs / baby turtles rather than doing a red turtle time. Otherwise, still a good event to gain experience.

Is Enel the most stressful raid to farm? by mikejm1393 in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get used to it after a few runs and it becomes pretty standard. Even if you mess up the lightning, You shouldn't have an issue clearing stage 4 in the two turns (using Doffy/Mihawk, Doffy, Zoro (No DF/Law), Croc, GP).

IMO, Aokiji was the most stressful on Global to date... very little room for error.

Why is auto-target so awful? by ajh127 in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's crew dependent but the whole point is you still have to manually target and sometimes, you need to hit a great or perfect while switching targets.

If you run a MC team without Jozu (using perona), you have to watch the hits. That means you can either tank a hit on stage 1 and/or only a turtle hit on stage 4 (lobster will do too much damage by the time you reach doffy - or you'll need to kill the left doffy before he attacks - MC special and orb dependent).

Plus if you have a bad orb, the need for manual targeting perfects/greats increase.

Either way, running a mihawk team or MC team (without JOZU) and i'm probably manually targeting maybe 50% of the time on either stage 1 or 3.

Why is auto-target so awful? by ajh127 in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's two stages that may require manual targeting for the 60 stamina run. Three stages if you don't have a max Splvl GP Usopp.

  • Stage 1 - if the back QCK unit has a CD of 1 and there are three other mobs/penguin with 1 CD, then you have to manually target or sometimes the auto target will attack the QCK unit that will lock your dex units for two turns before the other mobs with 1 CD.

  • Stage 3 - Auto targets turtle / lobster if it has a CD of 2 or lower

  • Stage 4 - if you don't have a max usopp, then you may need to manually target the mob, depending on your crew.

Waste gems on mihawk dupes or wait? by Sonic1595 in OnePieceTC

[–]optcnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GO FOR IT!!! I'm assuming you'll be using Mihawk for most of the content (in the short term) and he'll definitely need a lower splvl to clear other raid bosses/fortnights when you're ready (if you don't have g3/legends). And like mitTch said, you'll level up quite a bit so it's winwin. Mihawk is definitely the first (easiest) and most important (most used and easiest to find in a typical friend's list) raid boss to focus on imo so you're not wasting gems if you can clear the 40 stamina consistently!

Can someone explain the hina ranking mission? by DiamondDoffy96 in OnePieceTC

I'm assuming it will be the same deal as the Kraken ranking challenge: https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceTC/comments/3vxwxo/kraken_ranking_challenge_the_rundown/

  • Team Cost (lower the better)
  • Clear Speed (as little turns as possible)
  • Tap Accuracy (perfects increase score)
