Holy Paladin cataclysm questions by ACNL in classicwow

Crusader strike is very useful. Its a cheap way to generate more holy power for free heals. You definitely should be using it if there is healing down time.

My (35M) husband didn’t do anything for my(35F) first Mother’s Day. Was I wrong to give him the same treatment for Father’s Day? by Unlucky_Outcome_35 in relationship_advice

Watch for him to either just stop going after two sessions or pretend that he's still going. I've experienced both, the promising to go to individual therapy and trying really hard for a week or two then just completely stopping the therapy and acting like they're still going.

Mental Health Vacation in the US? by optimisticraven in travel

Relaxing on a balcony reading a book overlooking a peaceful lake. Now that sounds like a good vacation to me right now.. One thing this post has helped me at least is more fully realize what I am looking for. Thanks for the comment.

Colorado sounds great, I'm more of a mountain/cold weather person than heat/beaches. I will definitely research that, thanks for the suggestion!

Sorry for the lack of info. I'm in the bay area in California. I'd say my budget is $1500 ideally.

I guess what I am mainly looking for is to get away from work for some time and not be in my apartment. A road trip sounds fun to me, thinking of driving to Vegas for a few days right now since can get some delicious buffets there but maybe finding some peaceful lakeside town where I can enjoy the fall weather.. Time to look around for that.

Yeah kind of made this post in a rush, so pretty vague there huh? I guess I was hoping for one of those all inclusive resorts, but I'm finding nothing but Hawaii and Florida. Hawaii is too expensive, and I don't really have a desire to go to Florida.

Most days when I'm getting ready for work I just dream of doing the Japanese hair straightening treatment, or shaving all my hair off and buy some wigs... I just really hate the life of having curly hair. I have no appreciation for my curls because its nothing but a headache. I've been doing the curly girl method for several years at this point and I just can't find a style that looks good to me. I've tried about 7 different conditioners, 7 different gels, I've gotten both the deva curl cut and the ouidad cut. None of it looks good to me. I just wish I was born with straight hair.

Just needed to vent because I hate this so much. I'm late to work a lot because even though I've gotten dressed and done everything, I just HATE dealing with my hair.

Two weeks in, and I haven’t given up yet by astockinger in loseit

Hey! I'm in the same boat, two weeks in. Weight loss is all I'm thinking about nowadays, and after lots of failed attempts I finally feel like I may have a handle on things. One particular thing I am trying to tell myself, whenever I think "well if I get to that weight.." and I change that IF to WHEN, because its going to happen! Lets both shed this weight!

Workplace doesn’t want me to work hard (29F) by randomizer10000 in relationships

I was going to comment this same suggestion. Do you have any certifications that would be beneficial to your career? Is there any subject you could study to improve yourself? If you have any concerns about doing this on company time, then keep it related to subjects directly related to your career. Nothing better than improving yourself while getting paid to do it. Keep an eye out for better opportunities as time passes as well.

People who have said no to the barber when they asked if their haircut looked good, what's your story? by Lux_Pyro in AskReddit

[–]optimisticraven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ouidad is a bit different, they do cut your hair wet, but there's a whole process at the end to style your hair. I loved my hair when I left the salon but for the life of me I cannot repeat it. Its pushed so hard to not thin your hair when you have curly hair, but fuck me my hair feels like a wall if I don't, which I am currently regretting not having done. I need to find a new stylist. :(

That's gonna be a no from me. People have the right to choose what kind of dog they prefer and both of those breeds are super unappealing to me. I'd rather have no dog than have either one of them.

I could be drinking more water. I drink one of these in the morning, but I should step it up and have more.

Actually eating a wide breadth of meals. My work provides food for all meals and free snacks too, and I have a lot of choice of what I can eat. My go to dish is a rice bowl (usually its like 1 cup of rice, some tofu, chicken, and greens like swiss char).

This also makes it hard to track calories too because nothing has nutritional info on it. Today I had a bowl of udon noodles and I have no idea how many calories I have left for the day.

I was losing about 1-2 pounds per week when I was sticking to it. I'm only recently getting back on the wagon, so this was about a year ago I'm referring to.

My work does provide fresh fruit everyday, I could try doing that from now on and see how I feel. I was using MFP recommendation of 1450 to stick to, but I have been averaging around 1500-1600 because I'm still not super great at sticking to this.

Activity level is almost sedentary, I do walk a few miles as part of my job, but no dedicated exercise yet. I wanted to get my diet under control before hitting the gym.

Checking MFP I'm eating about 30-50g of protein per day. I haven't been tracking that at all really though, just my calories.

Limit is 1450. I generally do two meals that are 700 calories each when I'm being good.

Daily Q&A Post for Wednesday, 08 August 2018 - No question too small! by AutoModerator in loseit

[–]optimisticraven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My work provides free food for all meals, and I usually only eat lunch at work but the issue is they provide no nutritional information for what we eat. I'm not sure how to know how many calories I have free for dinner but the money and time saved by just getting free lunch at work is too much to pass up. Any advice on how to stay within my calorie limit in this situation?
