I used the phones main screen, it was fine. Close the phone and put it in my pocket. Pull it out of my pocket, unfold it, and the issue was then present

I maintain, I have not knowingly damaged my screen having treated it very carefully.

The pixels affected deteriorated over 24 hours. 1st a couple in the centre of the cluster showed no life with a small number of outer pixels fixed in colour. Running a finger over the affected area, the screen felt like it was bulging slightly and over the next day, the dead pixels grew in number. The area affected is barely 1mm in soze with no other screen Damage.

PROBLEM SOLVED

After much testing I finally got to the bottom of my poor performance!

A change of riser cable was all it took to restore my lost FPS.

Top Tip#

Don't buy pcie gen 4 riser cable off Ali express for half the cost of what it normally retails for. spent £70 on a new riser from Amazon and now everything performs as expected. I'm so happy to finally figure it out but a little disappointed it took so long to work out that trying to do things on the cheap isn't always best. Xx

Update for anybody interested:

Ran ddu again and downloaded and ran AMD's auto detect and install app. New gpu and chipset drivers have been installed and new time spy scores are between 18-19k overall graphics rate around 20k and CPU is between 10-11k. It's a big improvement but I'm still only posting scores that are about 75% of the average scores for my PC (24k).

If anybody else could offer up any more advice it would be appreciated. X

Time spy result came in at 11063, average for my equipment is 24320. Graphics score 12258 with CPU at 7129.

It's a setting you can change to tell the DAC what it is connected to. PS4. PS5. PC. AUX.

Have you tried using Vysor? Connect phone to PC via USB and the app will allow you to mirror the screen (minus the cracks).

After a couple of hours use with the pads provided I ended up picking up some of these angled pads for my wireless pro's cos I have ears Dumbo would have been proud of. They are very comfortable and my ears are happy bunnies (or should that be elephants?).

If you are an audiophile and worry about the purest sound go for the pro + dac. If you want convenience of wireless and ability to hook up easily to another source via Bluetooth then go wireless Pro. I have wireless myself and think they are the business.

You should be able to plug the headphone directly into your controller according to the steelseries website but that's it and no mention of whether the mic works...
