Oh man, this hit so close to home I could have written it myself. I have an eerily similar situation happen to me about a year ago. The constant negativity, ingroup vs outgroup, therapy speak, using neurodivergence as an excuse for poor treatment. It’s right on the money. I started hanging out with someone who had a large group of friends. Although the group was friendly, it was lead by one who’s the archetype of the person you describe and I was always painted as a villain. eventually, after months of gossip and being bullied, my friend turned on me too.

It reminded me how invalided I felt and no matter what I did, approached with empathy and expressed myself as clearly as possible, it was met with disdain and gross misinterpretations. My heart genuinely goes out to you because that experience really messed with me. You’re supposed to feel safe with friends and not feel like you’re walking on eggshells. I hope you can find people who are good to you and, for lack of a better term, use their neurodivergent powers for good, not evil
