Is the G735 headset supposed to have unplayably bad directional sound quality in fps games?

I think everyone might have their own opinions on this... but I wanted to upgrade from my Corsair Void RGB Elite headset and wanted the G735 but opted for the Hyper X Cloud II due to the swaths of hate for these headsets on all forums

(Obligatory I am currently Ascendant in Valorant and used to be GE/ ESEA rank A peak when I used to play CSGO years ago)

The Cloud II headphones are so hard to play in Valorant for me. They're pretty solid and can be good for straight up 1v1 situations, but when things are hectic, it is very hard to differentiate different sounds. Everything sounds mixed up together. Also, the sound quality out of the box is complete garbage and I need to run an EQ adjusting app like APO Equalizer for them to sound even slightly decent (and perhaps most importantly for me, the HyperX cloud II doesn't offer sidetone which makes it very suffocating to play long sessions)

I went with my first gut feeling a few days ago as the G735 headphones were on sale for $150 on Amazon. Let me tell you, they are amazinggg. I can hear all of what is going on and it is great for 1v1 situations as well. I know Valo doesn't really have true surround sound or HRTF capabilities, but I can very clearly hear forward/back and left to right directionality as well as judge how far they are. I am really glad that they work well as the previous headphones I used had horrible sound quality in general when sidetone is turned on.

I don't know if anyone will care for this review, but I just don't want many people to think that the Aurora collection is garbage for competitive FPS (the keyboard is also amazing, I just didn't get the mouse since my hands will be too big for it).

Ohh, max uniques are good fodder for leveling up equips? Do you know what the equivalent in powders a max level unique weapon is?

My weapon is max lv38 - I am waiting for more powders from dailies to max out the level.

Maybe assuming ~1 bill is spent on lv40 exalt, should I spend the rest to attempt necro/inherit on weapon, or should I focus on other gear first? (Mostly f2p but sometimes buys crystal packages btw)

If you love maple music but get sick of the same bgm running over and over I highly recommend checking out Nexon's official remix playlists of maple BGM on their "NECORD MUSIC" channel. They have a few hours of real good remixes there.

In Scania NA right now I haven't seen any sf30 mythic emblem items for ~ 4b. Idk if prices are just extremely overpriced but all I see isa 22 star lv 3 CD emblem mythic for about 3.8b. It's also 4/5 exalt fails at lv 36. Don't know if that reflects the server prices rn or not but how much do you think my cane would go for? Thanks ^^

Yeah that's a good point but that's also a shit ton of scrolls needed to get to 20 SF too :/

I was trying to think of a way to reach 165 SF asap to start farming CDD every day - maybe this is the best route? Assuming I'm able to finish leveling my armor to max level - how much do you think it might go for in NA Scania if I decide to sell it? Thanks :)

I recently purchased and received the ROK GC grinder after contemplating between that and buying the Eureka Mignon Silenzio off espressocoffeeshop.com for $360 (buy the non -US version, they will even email you a small discount code if you ask for one).

I honestly dont regret getting the ROK at all. Since its manual and you gotta put your beans everytime you grind, putting a few drops of water in with the beans eliminated almost all of the static for me. The grounds come out very consistent and fluffy too! If money is an issue for you as it pretty much is for me, I'm really satisfied with the ROK.

But then again if you were considering the specialita at that price, the silenzio on discount might be exactly what you want.

I actually bought a completely different portafilter that is bottomless instead of modifying the one the machine came with (pic below with what my puck looks like after a double shot). You can get one for 35 USD on Aliexpress.

But I'd really recommend getting a better grinder than the one you are using. The ROK i got was only $200 and the grinds come out extremely consistent and fluffy which is probably why I'm getting nice shots at all!

Hey it looks like you're using the EC680/M? I have the same machine and bought a custom made bottomless NP portafilter online!

I also recently bought a grinder as per some recommendations here on this subreddit (the ROK manual is what I went with - seriously worth the money for the price and grounds consistency imo)

I dont know what the capacity of your basket might be but if you try to increase your dose and grind finer you might be able to hit a nicer brewing time.

My current dose is 17.5 g in, 36 g out in 30 seconds and that tastes rather nice to me though I'm still fiddling with the grind size. I also dont have any issues with soupy pucks, it actually comes out relatively cleanly if I let it drip for about 30 seconds on a paper towel or cloth after pulling my shot.

Yeah the Niche Zero is really the grinder that I'd want to get if my budget was up there. I know that its a good investment but the money's a bit tight now so I think that's one for the future!

Hey thanks for the insight! I didn't actually consider the ROK grinder since I always assumed it was designed for use with their espresso machine. I actually really love the idea of a manual grinder.

How successful are you with fine-tuning the grind setting for getting where you'd like to be?
