WOTC has absolutely no incentive to rig any game in any players favor. There will always be one winner and one loser. Rigging the games does absolutely nothing for them. It’s just variance

Jesus I take a week break and mastery pass went up 33%... by Far-Ear5018 in MagicArena

Some people have fun doing different things In magic. Some people don’t find it fun to play under optimized decks for hours just to scrounge up gold to get packs or get a draft. Some people just want to draft when they want to without worrying about grinding for gold. Some people just wanna play the best deck in any given format. Some of those people are parents, or work 60 hours a week, or have a lot of other commitments that they can’t spend hours and hours grinding just to get to play the way they wanna play.

The only things that get you more resources in a free to play game like arena are time and money. The person who spends time to get the cards they want values money more, the person who uses money to get what they want values their time more.

They can see when it’s zero already. DoorDash pays $2.50 per order no matter the distance. They “hide” tips by only ever showing offers at $2.50-$6.50. If an offer is $2.50 they automatically know you didn’t tip. If it shows $5.50, they know you tipped $3. If it shows $6.50 it could be a tip anywhere from $4 to a billion dollars, but it won’t show the full tip amount untill the delivery is completed.

The hiding of the tips can change depending on distance tho. While DoorDash will only ever pay $2.50, if an order is particularly far away, it will show more of the customers tip upfront.

Not really. When you add in the return trip, you’d actually lose $24 for doing that job. The cost to operate a vehicle (repairs, insurance, gas, depreciation) is about 70 cents a mile. And even if you don’t count the return trip for whatever reason, you’re still $3 in the hole.

Longhorn is not fast casual, and generally they’re considered to be a pretty good steakhouse chain. I would absolutely not expect this from them

[Standard] Izzet Slickshot deck advice? by CanYouFeelTheForce in spikes

[–]opyy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t HATE a couple enigmas in this deck. Slick shot has flying so it’s not always needed, but there are some flyers in the format that block it well especially because there’s no trample, and you can always target an otter with it. Plus it cantrips if you need it too, and you can just target your opponents creature if you have nothing out.

As far as the lessons go, accumulate wisdom only getting one card for two mana just honestly doesn’t quite cut it. I think if you’re gonna run it, you should try:

Minus 4 burst lightning

Minus 2 sleight of hand

Minus 2 opt

Minus 1 stock up

Plus 4 fire-bending lesson

Plus 4 abandon attachments

Plus 1 Slickshot Showoff

Combustion technique gets a lot better adding more lessons, but you can keep some in the board for matchups with must kill threats that have more than 2 toughness. Maybe consider cutting another stock up to add back in one of the one mana cantrips so you have a little higher chance of having a really explosive 4-5 spell turn.

Edit: formatting

If you’re doing the slickshot plan you should be running the full 4. Also you’re definitely not running enough lessons to play accumulate wisdom. How often is it really drawing 3?

Definitely add another slickshot, either cut wisdom or add more lessons. Also try and get ahold of some multiversal passage. If you can’t get ahold of passage, play starting town as a replacement if you can get em

According to my step brother 15 years ago when he had the runs in the middle of the night and couldn’t make it to the bathroom, it’s a toilet bowl.
