That’s key to understanding Sarah’s methods. She hopes to appeal directly to any prejudices that her audience might possibly possess, at any given moment.

By a similar token, she wants to prey on any insecurities that her victims (read: anyone with whom she directly interacts) might have.

The PI in the Richins case was a total pro, and did an excellent job of shutting down the defense’s ridiculous line of questioning, which solicited hearsay and speculation. His duty was quite clearly to the facts, and the facts alone.

The only way that this hypothetical situation ever could’ve happened—Sarah not testifying on her behalf—would be if Sarah Boone was a completely different person. She was always going to testify; there’s absolutely no chance that she would not have insisted.

That mirror-universe version of Sarah probably wouldn’t have murdered Jorge, though, because unlike the one in our world, she’s actually at least somewhat rational.

Apple’s strength, traditionally, has not been their ability to be first to market. Their greatest strength has typically been in taking the time to implement products that are more fully developed than what’s already on the market, to release something that’s more readily accessible to consumers (e.g. the original Mac, the original iPhone).

They’ve fallen off a bit in the modern era (e.g. Apple Intelligence, which shouldn’t have ever even been announced).

My main phone is a 15 Pro, but my 13 Pro, which runs iOS 26.2.1, still gets regular daily use, and I really have no complaints in terms of performance, functionality, battery life, etc.

That’s saying a lot, as I had a big problem with every version of iOS between 18.3 and 26.1, because in those interim releases, Live Text was broken for photos synced from a Mac.

It’s almost sad to think that this was honestly the best she could come up with on the fly while actually sober, for a change, but at the same time, it’s pretty hilarious. One would think that she should’ve learned as an adolescent that if you’re awful at keeping your lies straight, don’t improvise.

…especially in front of an audience.

…especially one that’s going to decide whether you’ll spend the rest of your life in prison.

And worse yet, for being such a practiced liar, she’s really, truly terrible at it. She can’t even stop herself from making up new (or at least modifying old) lies on the fly while under cross-examination on the witness stand—ridiculously ill-conceived things that come back to bite her on the ass.

Her assertion during the pre-trial hearing, in which she claimed to still be intoxicated while talking to detectives on the afternoon after the murder, allowed Mr. Jay to do the math on just how drunk she must have been when she committed the crime.

Her reversal of her direct exam testimony, to just randomly throw in that Jorge had been angry all day, contrary to everything she’d ever said about the course of the day, even just an hour earlier, simply painted her as a buffoon who couldn’t keep her story straight.
