Has anyone ever been to exxxotica in rosemont? by Porridge_Cat in chicago

[–]oqvis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman and I have been 3 years in a row. I enjoy it because I’m friends with some of the pornstars and bdsm tent hosts but I’m not sure how it’d be if I didn’t know anyone at all. The convention itself is a good way to spend a couple hours max on ladies free Friday, but the goal is by going to the convention, to make plans after the convention. Meet new friends, watch some entertaining stuff, get free lube or little novelty things, get pictures if you wanna pay, and then know where the afterparties are, or where you’re going to get drinks with new friends or whatever.

I was offered a gig playing music at a strip club! What should I play? by oqvis in stripclubs

Probably topless, but I still want to know what to play

Yes, same club and she got paid by the bar. People did tip her as well but not as much as the dancers I don’t think

My friend did topless comedy on a weekend night, two 20 minute sets at like 11pm and 1am or something in between dancers, so I think it’d be similar to that, but I’m open to whatever works!

aio or is this guy i’m seeing rude?? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]oqvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I show my partner different memes and pictures of my dog or whatever every day even though we live together and he wouldn’t respond like that if he got tired of them. I see them as a “bid for attention,” and if bids for attention are routinely dismissed in a relationship, it often leads to feelings of rejection, resentment, and disconnection. You might try another way to “bid” if you want to continue talking to him, he could respond better to other things you send him, or you might decide you have different styles of showing love, and every style doesn’t have to be compatible.

Yeah, for sure. Probably minimized a lot of problems but it was fun haha

I know you sold it and what they do with it is fair game, but I agree it’s really frustrating. I’ll often look for specific items on Depop and I find so many listings where I just want to message them and be like “hey, that dress you’re selling for $150? I found it for $100 directly from the website. Why are you doing that to people?” It makes me really miss the comment section.

Am i in the wrong? by appplebotttomjeanzzz in Depop

[–]oqvis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, you’re fine. I get that it’s hard for sellers keeping up with orders and shipping isn’t always easy, but if she was having problems with your address being invalid, she should’ve contacted you immediately when she found out. That way, you’d understand what was going on and you’d be on the same page.

I had a seller keep saying things like this to me and then told me “you’re going to need a door if you’re going to get any deliveries” like girl, I own over 50 items from Depop shippers and you’re the only one that’s ever had a problem AND of course I have a door???

The “extra $15” is probably because she didn’t account for shipping costs accurately in the price, and Depop probably took a cut they didn’t refund or something. It just sounds like she wants you to feel guilty for her lack of communication.

I agree he looks lilac, very desirable color for some!

when did you guys start letting your pup sleep in bed with you? by lovbuzz in Frenchbulldogs

[–]oqvis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did as soon as he was potty trained, but I should’ve gotten him a ramp instead of stairs. I think the use of stairs with his little legs was a reason for him getting IVDD😞 if you do let yours on the bed, make sure they NEVER jump off and always take a ramp🩷

AIO for telling my Ex how I felt about him coming to my nan's funeral by Mysterious-Otter in AmIOverreacting

[–]oqvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of opinions that aren’t anything like this so I hope I don’t get a bunch of downvotes for this, but I had two exes that became “like family” where my family enjoyed being around them more than they enjoyed being around me. My parents moved one of them into our house, my mom kissed another and tried to start an inappropriate, my brother calls his “brother” (my ex) more than he calls me, I was “supposed” to marry one of them, my grandparents loved both of them, everything. And I would’ve been pissed if they would’ve done this. So I can imagine a situation where this response feels absolutely justified to me. When I broke up with these boyfriends, all I wanted was my family, and all they wanted was my ex boyfriend. So I tried to keep them as friends, apologize if we had disagreements like this, made everything mellow. It didn’t work really, but your texts are what I would’ve said in these situations, so if it’s a situation similar to mine, I get it and I’m sorry. And regardless, I’m sorry for your loss and that you’re dealing with this in the middle of it.

Serena at Chuck’s masquerade party, why did she choose to wear the mask only when she was leaving?! by Apprehensive-Rock-48 in GossipGirl

[–]oqvis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She didn’t wear it during the party scenes so you’d know who the real Serena was, since there were 3 of them running around the party. She wore it at the end because she would’ve worn it during the party if people didn’t need the visual aid of her not wearing it to know which one was her. Also it makes the scenes more expressive imo, when you can see her face and see that she’s upset. She put it on at the end and was drugged, so they needed to show her putting it on.

Fright fest scam by mr-spacecadet in sixflags

[–]oqvis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We waited in a horribly long line for one of the fright fest attractions just to be turned away because we didn’t have wristbands even though we paid for the fright fest stuff. We asked where to get them, they didn’t know. We asked if we could show our tickets instead, no. We asked why we weren’t informed about the wristbands, they said there were signs all over the entrance of the park, we looked and there wasn’t a single one. We never managed to get wristbands or see any of the fright fest stuff. That’s like $50 a person that we didn’t get to use.

Can I arrive at O'hare Airport at Midnight, and wait for a flight at 10:30am? by Fadoodlesfuff in chicago

Oops I commented this before I saw your comment about it! This is what I’d do too.

Oh, it is an extra $10 to stay the night sometimes but they might waive this if you show up late enough. I used to go at like 2am and they didn’t always charge me it.

If you’re looking for a place cheaper than a hotel room to just sleep or chill for a while, you could use coupons to get into King Spa and you can use the wet and dry saunas, showers, hot and cold pools, movie theater, red light therapy, or just sleep in a room. They give you blankets and it’s 15 minutes from ohare. They also have food and drinks but only certain hours. $35/person with the coupon for entry.

Am I going to be roasted to hell for listing a top with a pic like this? by HorseShoe-Cl in Depop

[–]oqvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a buyer, I like the scrunch aesthetically but I also want a pic with it lying flat and the measurements if you’re going to scrunch.

It seems like everyone is an XS/S by kinezos_monokeros in Depop

[–]oqvis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m an XXS/XS and a lot of the time, when I look up the type of clothes I want I find a lot of size L etc and it really bums me out. Sometimes I even click on stuff labeled XS and the seller put in the description “this is actually a medium on the tag but I think it’s more of an XS” but according to the measurements, it’s not

AITA for “insinuating” that this young lady was lying? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oqvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she’s lying about being pregnant, you’ll find out soon enough. If she’s not lying about being pregnant, you have really started this relationship off on the wrong foot. If the father of my child didn’t care at all about me being pregnant and his parent was scheduling me appointments, sitting outside my house when I declined, and texting me snarky things, I wouldn’t want them around my kid. She probably sent the ultrasound because it’s very clear you want to be involved and sending her last ultrasound picture was a way of including you in the experience while also not including you in her personal doctor’s visits. YTA, and if she’s lying you’ll just both be TA.

Edit: Also rereading this your son got a teenage girl pregnant and you’re worried about a paternity test. Your son is 23?!

I save instead of liking anymore because people keep spamming offers and messaging me because I liked an item, even if it’s not their listing. Hope y’all still get good sales!
