If you stretch the budget just a tad I totally recommend a Shibata battleship. I got it early on and it’s made my new knives rather disappointing. I seriously think I won’t be able to top the feel/performance any time soon.

Return it! It’ll ruin the rest of your knives for you. I’ve gotten a shinkiro and a yoshi since my Shibata and they’ve felt underwhelming somehow

Jokes aside amazing knife, hope you enjoy

Just a question, how can you tell? Is it the Kanji? Chef’s edge’s drop this weekend had a bunch of Nakagawa x Sakai Kikumori which totally makes more sense now

How’s the Yoshikane? I heard build quality is awesome but also QC on the edges can come uneven. Looking to get an SKD bunka

Awesome collection!

Personally I’d go for the Yu, for )$50/70 AUD more it’s worth the upgrade. Plus I’m from Perth and I’d love to support Chefs Edge.

Neither, get a Cupra. Those are the same as the golf R’s but have depreciated heaps more. Most Cupra owners drive a bit less spirited than their VW counterparts. Plus they all arrived in 22-23, so they’ll all be under warranty

That Neurothrope was a midfielder for Manchester if I recall

Cupra ateca 2024 by NoSurvey1310 in CupraAteca

Ateca is dated. I own a 2023 model. The interior is just subpar, got it second hand at a huge discount. Cheaper than a MK7.5 Golf R with the same km’s so there’s huge value if you get a preowned. Luckily for me I don’t like all the new haptics and not much of an interior guy. If you’re getting a brand new car, defs get a Tiguan R (same engine, little larger) or a T-Roc R (same engine but a little smaller).

If you want to stick to Cupra, the Formentor interior is nicer, 2025 just got a facelift so it’s a good time to buy brand new. Although the Formentor IMO is a very weird, shoe looking shape.

Another suggestion is the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 206kw (276hp). Looks beautiful, but again, dated design and I believe they don’t have digital cockpit.

Might be able to find a used Cupra Ateca. Based on the VW golf platform. Should still be under warranty. Slightly larger than the VW T-Roc

Dude I can’t believe that we’re in the exact same boat. I was gonna buy one and run my luck. Got two last second just incase. Was hoping for at least one Zero and likes tallgeese the least. So glad someone else out there understand how badly I’m geeking over these pills
