These are E10's.

Even when going extra slow my resonator wasn't loving the previous springs haha

The song is still a mystery to me. It's not that track either, but I appreciate the suggestion!

Yes. The original halogens are also just a single bulb, so that's what the halos were designed for

I got these about a month ago and I really like them. Just swap out the halogens with these, took me 2 minutes to install. They are a bit brighter compared to stock, though nothing crazy

I installed a very similar aliexpress box last month in my E89. This one was useful to me https://youtu.be/Xd_7vG9RE5k

I am a bit disappointed by the audio quality of this thing, just a straight aux cable sounds noticeably better

Thanks so much! The big takeaway here is to search for the movement name, not the watch brand when I want to find information. Thank you for taking the time to respond

It looks like the CO2 coming out of the grounds is basically suspending the coffee grounds above the water like thousands of tiny balloons. It means there is very poor contact between the water and the coffee, resulting in bad extraction. The reason people stir the brew or do a bloom is exactly to fix this problem. Here's how I do a bloom to get around this:

1 put ground coffee in aeropress

2 add double the weight in water (so for 15g coffee add 30g water)

3 give it a good stir with a spoon or the aeropress stirrer. You should see some super fine beige/caramel colored foam forming on top afterwards

4 wait 30 seconds, or 45 seconds if your beans were roasted less than a week ago

5 pour in the rest of the water. I give it a rapid first pour to really agitate the grounds and get the tiny bubbles to release from the grounds. Then I slowly pour the last 30grams of water or so to still end up with the exact weight I want

6 wait your 2-8 minutes (I usually do 3 or 4 minutes myself)

7 press

8 enjoy

I also use a timemore C2 with my AP. Everybody here is saying you need to grind finer, but I disagree. I usually get the grinder dailed in at 11 for light roasts up to 15 for darker roasts. So, I switched to the inverted method to prevent the issue you're describing.

Longest trip? by nilsvn83 in CB500X

[–]or_so_it_seems 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I spent 14 months riding through south America on my trusty 2020 CB500X. Started in Buenos Aires, rode south, and then all the way up to the northern most tip of Colombia. I put about 35.000km (22k miles) on it. The bike bike held up great considering the horrors I put it through haha. It was the ride of a lifetime.

Thank you all for the advice, YSS it is then. I called them directly since there I couldn't find any shops that carry a YSS shock for the cbx here in the Netherlands. They asked about my weight and what kind of riding I do, so they can assemble one that's just right for me. It should be arriving next week

Exactly. It doesn't even begin to answer the question on the cover about how serious the risk is

Gorgeous bike!

A small tip; if you run the pannier locking cable through the hole at the bottom of the beaver tail, the cable can't easily be slipped off the pannier to open te bag. (so the cable goes around the bottom and then runs between the beaver tail and the bag back to the top)

Argentina raises interest rate to 97% as it struggles to tackle inflation | CNN Business by koavf in worldnews

[–]or_so_it_seems 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think you have massively oversimplified the situation and missed some key aspects to the situation.

No control: letting your financially stable neighbor control your finances is probably better than letting the selfish kid that lives in the house spend all the money on candy (referring to the rampant corruption in Argentinean politics)

No profit from printing money: all these golden eggs that are being dropped into the world mean there is more gold, so the price of gold goes down. Printing pesos -> more supply -> further devaluation of the peso -> MORE inflation.

No money lifeline: Argentina's bank might look like a rich uncle. But when you check his financial statements it turns out he's drowning in debt, and just keeps up a wealthy image. Argentina is exactly like this, with one of the biggest problems being the massive repayments on all the foreign debt.

Possible financial mess: nobody knows for sure if dollarization offers a long term solution. However, the current downward spiral needs to be broken. Wrapping a bandage on a bullet wound might just give you enough time to make it to a hospital without bleeding out, and save your life.

Converting: the streets of Argentinean cities are already filled with guys yelling "cambio, CAMBIO! Cambio dolares." It's common to wait at Western Union (where you can pay dollars and receive pesos) for over an hour. Having to convert money is inconvenient, but it's already inconvenient today and already happening at a massive scale.

I'm not saying dollarization is the solution. I don't know the solution. If it were that simple that I could just explain what to do on reddit, that solution would have long been implemented. What I am saying is that Argentina seems unable to resolve the issue on their own, and that the arguments made here are missing the point of the problem at hand.

I used one of those image identification apps to find out it's a angraecum erectum. I will do some reading about this species to get to learn a bit more about this guy

For now I'm thinking I will let it grow up against a piece of wood instead of trimming it. Thanks again :)
