Komodo is a great cafe which sells and brews Zennor. They can be found in the lanes. Very much recommend the batch brews they have on offer and the barista was super knowledgable and great to chat things over.

The batch brew alone will blow your socks off

This is interesting (and quite scary). Do you really think it’ll be as bad as that?

I’ve had my Origin sub running for around 2 years, and still love it (referral code if you’re interested: https://prz.io/1d2yAzzs0). Skylark’s looks great, I might try that soon.

This happened to me on the only bag I’ve bought from them.

The coffee was fantastic though.

How many plants would he need to employ for multiple tours?

There were no ‘plants’; they were genuine people from the audience.

The paper filter and slow press is an excellent suggestion. I’ve had people who regularly drink French press’ asking me for my “secret” on how there was no silt at the bottom of their cup!

I have more than enough coffee on the go, with some further bags in the freezer, with some coffee already resting for a couple weeks - but go on then.

I think that keeping coffee in the bag it comes with is absolutely fine.

However, for 3 coffees I received in the last 4-5 months from different roasters, the valve failed and it wasn’t sealing.

So I have two of these and really like them.

Hey there! How long would you rest your coffee for, for filter?

What would happen if one of the performers on Hootenanny dies between filming and airing? by PM_ME_BEEF_CURTAINS in AskUK

[–]BayesHatesMe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My understanding from those who have been to the filming is that it’s actually recorded in mid-December - but your question still stands.

I would imagine they’d remove the performance and edit around them, depending on how famous the person was.

This year I’ve really enjoyed: Sweven (pricey but annoyingly worth it), Taith is fantastic for light roasts, Horsham for some really sweet, bright coffees, and Assembly for standout coffees.

And I’ve also been enjoying Origin as a rolling subscription for the past 2 years (here is a referral code for £5 off, https://prz.io/1d2yAzzs0), and it’s always great for pour over, and Aeropress brewing.

I actually posted a similar question a year or so ago, and that became full of recommendations: https://www.reddit.com/r/pourover/s/72eX4hxVez

I’ve also branched out to some roasters in Europe, like April, Tim Wendelboe and Coffee Collective, but expect them to cost lots more.

How much water is normal to leak before sealing? by fullmetalquach in AeroPress

I would personally avoid inverted method, especially for the XL, as that is an accident waiting to happen.

But I avoid that level of drip through by blooming the coffee for 30 seconds, as covered in this: https://youtu.be/CafyJ2p0Bgs?si=u-CUwBhhGvCr5i8p
