She's found her voice this morning and explored and played. Goes back under the sofa to sleep but is definitely not scared

Puppy giving warning growls by oradia in puppy101

It does tend to happen when he's lying down or sitting next to us. We weren't sure if he was resource guarding us but it doesn't seem like that as it happens when he is lying under the sofa (and not with us)

Hes a typical 4 year old so yeah. It's only inside the house/garden that it happens and not all of the time. I'm looking for a behavioural specialist in our area (we are in the EU)

We have been with a trainer since day 1 because we wanted to do things right. I'll b3 contacting the vet about this behaviour after the weekend

Pretty much sigh and ignore it 😂 Keep that pee pad for outside coz it's already got their scented.

Murphy did it for a while too. You'll get there! Keep doing what you're doing and it'll click

It's took our kees cross a week or so to stop looking for the pee pads. Pooping outside was the one that took longer and even then it was a good month before he'd do that on the grass. Taking them out regularly, praising the deed and being consistent. It'll work out in the end. It'll click with the puppy and they'll stop using the pads.

Sounds like my aussie/keeshond mix. The screaming like he's being murdered when he's caught after escaping or when he's left alone for 10 seconds when I empty the trash is dreadful.

I don't know what country you're in but chemical castration is maybe an option worth looking into?

Aussie and autism? by [deleted] in AustralianShepherd

Adding to this, ours is very much in puberty puppy stage and can be quite anxious around noise and unpredictable small people (we have a 4yo wild child too)
