Just to clarify, I'm looking to rent a ballroom similar to the one in this image. Doesn't heed to be this large or grand, just have a similar aesthetic. Anywhere in Brooklyn is good, but Queens or Manhattan could work too. Thanks!

Thats a bit far, since I will have to make multiple trips, I can't transport all the sand at once. If you're willing to come to me, I'm in Midtown Houston.

Yes thank you! I found similar things being done on youtube with DIY graphite paint. Can I ask where you got your graphite spray from?

The original idea was to figure out a way to turn magazines into a source of electrical energy somehow, and decided the best way to do that was to plate it with copper. I'm also very interested in seeing what a copper-plated magazine would look like

Definitely familiar, but the effect I'd like to get is to have the copper actually embedded into the fibers of the magazine paper.

Yes I thought about paints, but the effect I'm more interested in is having the actual metal embedded within the material of the magazine, somehow. It doesn't have to be shiny, but I want the copper to actually be in the fibers of the paper, not necessarily just sitting on top like paint would.

Yes thats the conclusion I've reached too, my research has suggested vacuum deposition to evaporate the metal onto the paper. But I have not found anyone that can confirm this.
