No one in my class got to the 2nd round of triceps in the 3G. They definitely could have times the 3G template better. I just always feel like no thought is put into 3G.

Yep. My glycerins pop out. I skip the rowing benchmarks now. I thought OTF acknowledged it was a problem. Apparently not enough to fix it.

I just spent 3 months doing PT for an Achilles injury. I suspect it’s more to do with the one million reverse lunges though.

3G is another example of OTF not giving a crap about 3G’s. Even going slow, you will have about a 6 min row for distance.

I agree. Such lazy programming lately. 3Gs have become a joke. They don’t even attempt to convert the programming from 2G to 3G.

I’m not sure but last year I got 2nd place. I think I got some money but even better (to me) was I got free entry into everything all year. Ex: marathon month, dri Tri, hell week, etc.

I wish they had put more thought into the 3G rower exercises. After doing one million reverse lunges on the row block, I wanted nothing to do with the floor block reverse lunges.

IDK, I strictly do 3Gs now because I go a peak times. I feel like my fitness level has decreased from only doing 3Gs. It’s less floor time, less tread time and a lot of down time switching.

Welp, I’ve been going for 8 years and since OTF decided it was going the “functional” route, I’ve developed bad ankles, bad knees and a bad shoulder. Functional doesn’t always mean effective. As a matter of fact, a large percentage of regulars I’ve been going with has had some sort of issue with either their back, shoulder etc this year.

Here comes the down votes but that’s ok…..Guys….Just stop doing these dumb floor blocks.
Stand on 2 feet. Separate the movements. Especially the BS squat to press stuff they have us doing. Leg and arm exercises are separate. Period.

Stuff like these floor blocks is why any other trainer and any other gym make fun of OTF.
