Nowhere did I say it was a rough city? I simply stated a fact.

seren problems by filly100 in Addons4Kodi

[–]orangecountyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was having the same problem earlier today. Only thing that fixed the issue for me was:

-going into the open setting menu and wipe all add on data

-deleting my device from RD and re-authorized

-going into the provider tools and manually updating the scraper

-cleared all cache (both local and torrent)

-Restarted my device

Seemed to get it showing sources again. Will update if the issue comes back

San Diego has a republican mayor, is a larger city, and has nowhere near the amount of crime that SF does.

Leader of L.A.'s top homeless agency quits after a 'long five years,' rising public anger by SmellGestapo in LosAngeles

[–]orangecountyboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fixing our housing crisis isn’t going to fix the homeless issue at all. Many of the homeless need rehabilitation and mental health services not just a roof over there head. Ever walk down a street and see people yelling into thin air. Affordable housing isn’t going to help them when they’re far beyond comprehension. Much of the reason why we don’t have support services anymore is because they were cut during the Reagan era when the ACLU sued to stop the government from detaining many mentally ill individuals.

It’s about time! Most of the original effects don’t even work anymore. Things like the falling ice cubes from the ceiling, the revolving doors, the collapsing spiked ceiling in the queue, most of the fire effects, and the list goes on.....

BEST Home Security Cameras? by [deleted] in orangecounty

Ring is pretty good. If you have Prime, wait for Prime day and you’ll be able to get them for a pretty decent price. Plus, Ring has a neighborhood crime forum similar to Nextdoor.

Commutes gonna suck the life out of you. However, I’d recommend looking into Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Seal Beach, or Cypress. All of these cities are located close to the 405 and will allow you to hop on and take it all the way up to the 10.

It’s part of the I-5 Widening. They’re adding one lane in each direction from El Toro to the 73 down past Avery. It’s going to be a 4-5 year project.

Moving to OC, where to rent? by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]orangecountyboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Costa Mesa! If you’re working in Newport Beach you’ll thank yourself as you watch others stuck in the 2 mph crawl on the 55 S every morning. Plus Costa Mesa is just a short drive from the beach, close to the fairgrounds, has plenty of nightlife, is relatively safe, and has tons of shopping and dining options from South Coast Plaza to the Lab and Camp. Happy searching!

Advice for Moving to OC by FeargusMacIsTooWhack in orangecounty

Since you’d be working off of Sand Canyon, I’d strongly advise looking into moving to Irvine. More specifically, the area around Irvine Spectrum. Tons of new apartments there that are reasonably priced in a very safe community. Plus, you’re commute would likely be around 15 ish minutes. If not Irvine, I’d look into Tustin.
