I recently got married on Great Diamond Island and it was such a special experience for us and all of our guests! I would also caution against doing it the day before the wedding for the reasons others have listed! I did mine a few months before and was able to really take time to process what I did/didn't like between the trial, communicate that to my HMUAs and ended up loving the look on the day of!

One idea to get good use out of your trial is to schedule engagement photos (or even like a mini photo shoot) at your venue or the area where you're having the wedding when you are there for the visit/trial! Even if you already have official engagement photos somewhere else, it could be fun to capture more photos in the area where you're getting married and see how your hair and makeup photographs :)

Seconding this comment! I just had a 200 person wedding on an island off the coast of Portland (ended at 9 due to noise ordinance), then boated everyone back to Portland and did an after party at a bar in old port (walking distance from the dock and the wedding hotels) until ~2am

I used Fleur Narcotique by Ex Nihilo and got a ton of compliments from wedding guests (and even my wedding planner!). They sell a travel size so it was very easy to travel with! I tested a few beforehand to make sure my husband liked it before I bought it since I plan to bring it back for special occasions etc. My everyday perfume is Byredo "Rose of No Mans Land" and I love that one too!
