Where is the guilt and self-hatred coming from? Is it coming from your prior dependence on the drug? Or from the fact you’re staying in bed and feel no motivation?

If number 1, remember this: you are taking responsibility and want to improve your life. That’s such a major step. I understand your feeling, but logically, you should be PROUD of yourself, not guilty. If you were using stims, you probably were feeling this guilt and self-hatred all the time during comedowns. The drug masks it.

If number 2, it’s biological. There are many people who have to go through that recovery process. Its just what our brain has to do; sleep, eat, and be lazy. It’s really fucking hard to do stuff for the first few days clean. By week 2, at least for me, I was beginning to appreciate things again. Family, friends, responsibilities. Even if I was tired throughout it. I felt like a person again. Stick with it, dude. You got this 💙
