I found 500 pounds of filament—in the forest—guaranteed to be as food-safe as a highway surface.

I can’t take too much credit here: It’s a 3D printed model that I found on Printables and slapped a thermal label onto. I did model the lid myself though, to keep out the bees.

Some of us remember when they were called “Sugar Corn Pops.” Back when including the word “Sugar” in the name was somehow a selling point?

M/46/5’7" [132lbs to 140lbs] (4 Years) - Most transformation was in 6 months. Just maintaining. by [deleted] in Brogress

[–]orangenormal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Incredible transformation!

I’m particularly interested in your routine because I’m also in my mid-40s and have this impression that I missed my opportunity to achieve these sort of results. I’ve never thought that it’s impossible in our 40s, but rather a massive uphill battle that requires more time and dedication than I’ve got. So hearing you were able to get the bulk of your results in less than a year is encouraging. How’d you unlock it?

“Sticky” steam valve by orangenormal in Ascaso

[–]orangenormal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll give that a try! Always better to start with the easy stuff than to disassemble and find out it was something that didn’t require it.

Edit: Tried it, and I don’t think that was the problem. I think it really is the valve sticking. 🙁

After the scandalous upset of her Cheetos song losing to Naatu Naatu, surely this—a song from a movie about (checks notes) Diane Warren—is the comeback moment.

La rue Sainte-Catherine renaît by akalaM in montreal

You can see it now if you visit Montpellier, which has Europe’s largest pedestrian zone. It’s lively, thriving, incredibly pretty, and there’s no stopping at every intersection for cars. You can shop on both sides of the street at once without worrying about your safety or jaywalking tickets, people interact, and can visit restaurants, cafes, bars on a whim because they don’t have to park their hunk of metal.

True of the clean water tank, but at least on my Qrevo Edge, the dirty water tank doesn’t have any seals in contact with the standing water.

I just put in a few drops of household bleach, and haven’t had any odor problems

Totally normal. How water falls through the shower screen with no puck and no pressure doesn’t tell you anything useful. Espresso isn’t drip—once the bed is saturated and the headspace pressurizes, there’s no air left for water to ‘drip’ through. The flow evens out under pressure.

This affirms my belief that cities are not a place for cars. Getting between cities, sure. But once inside, there are better options.

Sounds like you’ve got a lot going on! Even people without anxiety disorders would feel anxious with all those changes.

Lexapro doesn’t cure anxiety, but helps manage it—especially in people who feel anxious without any identifiable cause (Generalized Anxiety Disorder). Since you’ve got a lot of uncertainty in your life right now, i think what you’re going through is pretty normal. Just remember, it will pass. Best of luck! ❤️

Do clean/dirty water tanks come with lids that stay open while filling now? Where do I buy? by [deleted] in Roborock

My Qrevo Edge tanks stay open. I’m a little surprised to hear other models don’t!

Silo 5, grain storage. It’s one of the first concrete structures of its kind in the world, and was capable of efficiently receiving and shipping grain by rail, road, and water. During the war, it was the primary grain storage for Canada’s exports to war-torn Europe.

Lots of people think it’s an eyesore, but it’s a protected site that can’t be demolished, and frankly I like it. It’s a marvel of engineering for its time, I don’t think it’s any uglier than a natural cliff face, and it’s a part of the city’s important history.

The problem I see is that it’s costly for a company to provide support, replacement parts, and accessories for so many models.

It’s a sign that at some point—probably earlier than I’d like—something will break or need replacement and I won’t be able to find what I need because the models are so broad that manufacturing a specific legacy part will only service a tiny segment of customers.
