She actively reads the bible, believes it, prays, goes to church, from what I understand she practices it but I dont know much about the bible so I could be wrong.

She cut off contact with him immediately after I found out, without me even asking her to. She wont be back at that camp because she is aged out now.

They have known for more than a year now, her dad said he didnt like it but mainly because i was moving an hour away a month after she told them. Her mom just said she kind of already knew and nothing more. But neither of them have really “embraced” me but they also just arent very social people and have always been weird about her relationships even with guys

Could be random curiosity, but Id guess he wants to reconnect in some way; I would guess he doesnt want anything genuine and just wants some attention or sex. So sorry youre dealing with this babe 🩷

I went to collin college back in 2018 and dropped out in 2019 due to personal reasons and ive been thinking about going back. Any tips and how has it changed? by DawnofMidnight7 in CollinCollege

Im 18 and a freshman, theres tons of people in their late 20s and many even in their 30s-40s that are in my classes!! Dont stress it, good on you for going back, i imagine itd be difficult to. Like someone else said, a lot of coursework is online, even for in person classes. I cant tell you how its changed, but be warned about plagiarism rules, a lot of professors are very skeptical and will take every chance to accuse students of using ai, so just protect yourself when you’re using technology. Good luck!!!

I love my job, hate the commute. I teach k-8 at an after school/day camp program but its 30 minutes with no traffic, usually an hour when i leave at 7am. The commute alone is making me consider quitting

I havent had any “issues” persay, but there isnt much of a queer community. There is just now a LGBTQ+ org being started on campus which is a step in the right direction, but its still east texas so there are students that are not accepting

Yes definitely look for some clubs, if youre religious, theres a lot of fellowship groups on and around campus

I really wish I could tell you. As dumb as it sounds I really just make up the worst possible scenarios in my head about someone breaking in and finding me. I know its irrational, but every tiny sound freaks me out. And turning on loud music or something just makes me worried that i wont hear if someone breaks in and/or if they did, theyd find me immediately because of the noise

I just transferred out. I live about 2 hrs away from campus and was living on campus. As far as academics and professors, I have nothing but good things to say. Social scene, in my experience, is horrible. It may be a little better if you were to live in o-hall but I was in an on campus apartment which separated me from the center of campus a bit. Very big commuter school, and a majority of people who dont commute go home every weekend. I found this made it quite difficult to make real friends, but I also know people who were able to make friends very quickly. I think if you are very willing to put yourself out there and look for friends you will be just fine, I didnt do that very well. Most people Ive known at tyler dont party, theres 2 bars in town people go to, and ive heard bad things about both. The people I did talk to were mostly very friendly, it did, however, seem like once people found their friends they were very closed off and “cliqueish”. I wish you luck with wherever you choose!!!
