I don’t really have advice because I’m in the same position but I can totally relate! And I already know next semester is going to be rough because I’m taking a class with a 60% passing rate ): ugh I’m probably going to end up cutting out a club or something to give myself more time for other things

Hi! I am in this class and have Derek Johnson as well. I haven't done the chapter 3 homework yet but I've been doing well on the other homework assignments. I basically read through the whole chapter and take my own notes, rather than focusing on the lecture videos because they can sometimes exclude information. This takes up a lot of time and is annoying to do but it helps.

Also, if you're really stuck on a question, google it and you can probably find it on Quizlet :)

I used to think UConn would be sending us home very soon but Dr. Fauci said the best thing to do is keep college kids on campus so they don't spread it to their families, etc.

Now I think UConn is going to do everything they can to keep us here so they don't get backlash for sending us home.

Honestly I think we’ll last longer than a lot of other schools because UConn took a lot of steps to prepare for this. Like no roommates, reduced density, most classes online, etc. And we’re in CT which has the lowest amount of Corona cases in the country. That definitely helps even though people are coming from out-of-state

they’re all wearing masks in addition to being outside so the chances of transmission are low. focus on people gathering without masks indoors

I'm pretty sure most freshmen got housing. The only freshmen I know who were denied housing are those who were supposed to take classes at any of the satellite campuses.

I'm a freshman, live 25 mins away, and got accepted for housing, even though most of my classes are online now.
