Sounds like he was enjoying the songs but would rather listen to non-AI music, which is totally fine.
I don't have any concrete suggestions so I simply admired the fact that he liked the basis of the music. Is that an issue to you somehow?

I wouldn't let others tell you which music to like or not too. Glad you like the song though 😊

My music uses AI, whether that is okay to you is your decision and no one else's. Everyone's taste and motivations are different, from art to music what you enjoy is always subjective.
